My mother in law was given some commercial made pumpkin butter. I tried it and found it delicious. Found a recipe on ohsheglows.com. it's bubbling away on my stove as I speak. Hoping the pan doesn't jump off the stove. Lol. I bummed that I can't can it. But it can be frozen. Can't wait to try it.

I would recommend straining the puree before adding the ingredients. It saves on cooking time. It has good flavor. I had some in coffee and on toast.

Let us know how it came out. I love pumpkin butter too. I just finished off a jar of it from the Chicago Botanical Garden. It was delicious! I'd love to have a recipe to make some myself.
