Posted - Nov 17 2014 : 9:00:22 PM I am about to embark on a batch of bread. I am making the "mother" from scratch. I would like to know of the best flour to start with? I would also like to know any pointers so I can be successful from the beginning.

Posted - Nov 19 2014 : 07:41:16 AM You are too sweet, Daizy!!! My daughter and I already had you on our southern when-we-go-again list of fabulous farmgirls we'd love to meet. We already adore you but I'm sure meeting you would be the frosting on the Daizy cake! And I can always talk about bread. Especially the real deal bread; bread that comes from a mother--as it should be. Oh, and bread made from organic heirloom wheat. Perfect in my book.

Posted - Nov 18 2014 : 06:59:02 AM Hay there, Mz MaryJane,
I knew you would have the exact ingredients I would need to get it right from the beginning. My mother and grandmothers always had the best breads but that was decades ago. I sure do thank you for all you do. When will you be back over here? I want to plan on catching up with you when you do. Its cold here and home baked bread is a perfect thing to fill the house with the best smells. Plus, its about Tie One On Day and a loaf of fine bread fresh from the oven would be a nice gift.
Thanks again for getting back to me and for the abundant advise you are always so free with.
Love you!

Posted - Nov 18 2014 : 04:06:12 AM Daizy, my mother loves this brand and so do I! It never gets a gray discoloration and just bubbles away on my counter. It makes awesome bread, very lofty and tasty. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007SM6NWC/?tag=googhydr-20&hvadid=43504230087&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1543322623651193912&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_5ughlmgncl_b
