Posted - Aug 05 2008 : 3:19:04 PM Hi Gals,
This IS stain season, thought I'd share a tip.
Dissolve an aspirin or two in the laundry - preferably on fresh stains - launder as usual.
Works great on all kinds of stains...grease, blood, grass stains, coffee, etc. YOu can work a little in before laundering as well. I use this a lot on quilts that have been stained with no ill effects, and even if the stain is set in from prior laundering, a little gentle scrubbing with a toothbrush and stains disappear!

Posted - Aug 12 2008 : 8:18:41 PM Sheri: I'm washing a quilt tomorrow. One of my cats throw-up a hair ball right in the center of the quilt. So, I'll give your aspirin idea a try. Thanks. Marly |
