Posted - Aug 06 2008 : 11:55:29 AM I have hard water spots on outside of my windows and can't find any thing to get them to shine. The water from the hose makes the spots so no good way to rinse. Have tried the vinegar cornstarch water and newspaper.
any ideas welcome.

Posted - Aug 08 2008 : 7:53:22 PM LOL You are funny, Marly! I do take a pre-natal vitamin (Not pregnant, just using up what I have on hand), and a b- complex vitamin. It does help and it really helps if I get a good night's sleep!

Posted - Aug 06 2008 : 4:28:11 PM My son taught me to use super duper fine steel wool...really...it dosn't scratch the window and works great..this is stuff that is VERY fine. Size 00.. you get it at the hardware store..and use just water and white vinegar 50-50 mixed and spray the window first. My sprinkler tends to hit my big front windows if the wind blows and this is the only thing that works well. I was horrified when I came home one day and oldest son was doing my windows like this...but it is wonderful. It really dosn't scratch at all.

Posted - Aug 06 2008 : 3:59:14 PM Another thing you can try is Bon Ami- The powder in the yellow can. It won't scratch and if you make a good paste with it on a rag, rub on then rinse and polish with vinegar water it should take away the spots. I have used this on mirrors before.
