Posted - Aug 20 2008 : 11:35:35 AM You guys have to try this stuff! http://www.earthstoneintl.com/products.asp
I have been trying to clean some baked on stuff on my stovetop for a while now. I was VERY lazy and let it get too out of control...(I know I'm a pig...) Anyway, I've been struggling with this darn tendonitis on top of my fibro all summer. My right arm, of course. I used a baking soda paste and then scrubbed w/vinegar (after trying a ton of other stuff) and a metal scubber...I managed to put a couple scratches in my stovetop in the process but still had a ton of black mess. Then I saw this bathroomstone at Wally World and thought I'd give it try. Supposed to be all natural and all that... Kinda pricey ($3.27 for a small bar) but I'd spent way more on way more stuff. It WORKED like a DREAM!!!!!!! I was able to get all the rest of the stuff off my stove and you won't believe what it did for one of my pans. I also did the handle of one of my cast iron pans and it looks like it was brand new! So, what is it made of? Well, it's like pumice stone but softer, and according to the website, made from recycled glass! Go figure. Anyway, if you get a chance to find one, give it a try. Read the packaging for what is a no-no when scrubbing. (like marble, fiberglass, and plastic) My oven is next! |

Posted - Aug 29 2008 : 11:36:43 AM Thanks for the info. I'm going to try the bathroom stone. I already use Shaklee paste for the stovetop. All of my household cleaners are from shaklee's organic line. I love them. But, this stone looks promising. Thanks, Marjean
