I am back this year to hostess my 4th of July Swap, one of my most favorite holidays. I love our flag and anything red, white and blue. This year is special as it is also our 250 Birthday. I am just so happy and excited for this swap. I am starting early this year as mail seems to be slower and we want to make sure our treasures arrive in time.
So, for this swap you must have at least one handmade treasure out of any medium you choose. Including at least 3 red, white and blue treasures including your homemade treasure, for your partner, with 1 partner each.
Sign ups start today and will end 20 June with mail out as soon as possible after that.
Please ask any questions you may have. Let’s have lots of fun. Post favorite red, white and blue and flag photos you may have.

Here are your partners Farmgirls
Karen Martell ~ Laurie Scott
Denise Thompson ~ Andrea Garey
Wanda Sue Aldridge ~ Debbie Fischer
Ruthie Anne Kutemier ~ Kelly O’Neal
Connie Sue Warren ~ Diana Hauf

Hello ! This is Ruthie's daughter Katelyn. We are going through a full blown medical crisis with dad and mom. Mom hurts from head to toe as well as had a headache for days now. Dr. thinks it from everything happening with dad. I am going there tomorrow. I will get a box put together and mailed before the end of the week. Sorry for the delay.
Thank you
Katelyn

Oh Connie Sue, that's so awesome! Hi, I don't have anything that was handed down from any of my relatives. Which is sad. I lost a lot of my personal items when we were moving with the military, and we had our things in storage near the fort Eustis gate. The dam broke the second year. We were in Germany and flooded everything. I lost things that I had when I was a little girl. And then all my children's stuff from when they were growing up. Irreplaceable. You are very fortunate and blessed!

Thank you Dianna! I am so honored to own it! my Great Aunt Mattie was a Farmgirl! She was raised on the farm, she canned food, sewed aprons and clothes for our whole family, and owned a neighborhood grocery store from The 1940's untill 1980's. She loved God and her country! She would have loved your states hanging.

Denise thank you so much for the wonderful swap package you sent. It arrived yesterday.
Such a beautiful, patriotic variety of items. Crochet coasters and dish cloth, pillow cover, washi tape, journal with plenty of room for writing and beautiful patriotic ephemera tucked in on many pages. There is also a flag I will take with me tomorrow as I attend a ceremony honoring the brave Patriots who lost their lives in the battle of Wyoming.
I agree Denise, there is something about lighthouses that feels patriotic. Thanks again.

THANK YOU SO MUCH Connie for the happy box of celebration goodies! I left everything in my mailbox over tge weekend, (was under the weather)
Loved the Swedish dish cloths, the confetti and flags, the tea towel is perfect (chickens), the little lights, the napkins, soft soft which Danny immediately confiscated, the seeds will be planted today ( I love those in my salad!) and the dog tag. I'll use them all. Thank you so much!
Happy 250th to you and your family! Stay safe and blessed!

Denise I'm so happy you like the package I sent. I had fun making the paper items and picking out the other items.
The playing card is made from a napkin I got at Hobby Lobby last year. Separate the napkins into 2 ply's. Glue stick on the card - covered completely. Put the napkin on and smooth it out good. I put it on parchment paper upside down and put some weight on it to dry flat. Very easy. The tricky part is getting the napkin where you want it. Once it touches the glue it would be hard to move it without it tearing.
The back ply is plain white. I wrinkled some and put on another card. I don't know if I will stamp it or put die cuts on it or something else.
