I just had to share this with all of you as it is so funny. We have 3 hummer feeders and 5 hummingbirds and the male is so mean and simply will not share. If he sees a female on one of the feeders he chases them off. Thankfully he lets the little baby have all she wants. It’s so funny to watch them:-)

Omagosh, that's hilarious!! We got a piggy boy too! So I've got 3 out but watching them protect and keep others away is mind boggling isn't it?

That is so funny Debbie! We have a wild turkey that comes through our yard with her 3 babies. I wonder if they would drink from a hummingbird feeder if I had one.

Thanks for the Giggle!,, and yes, Hummers can be very territorial,,, even when there are more than enough feeders.

Debbie, I can't stop laughing at this great post!! In town here we don't have wild turkeys but we have plenty of Raccoons who love to figure out how to get those bird feeders down on the ground or pulled close to them hanging to a tree in order to eat the seeds. Right now our Hummingbirds are preferring all the flowers we have in the yard pots. As a result the bees go after the sugar solution and then die in the fluid. I don't blame those hummingbirds for not going to the feeder. Who wants to eat when it has dead bees in it??

That is funny Winnie about the Hummers wanted the dead bees instead of the solution. I really could spend all day watching them fight over the 3 feeders they are just so funny:-)
