Hello Farmgirls. The time has now arrived to get ready to celebrate our Annual Apple Festival with our Apple Swap. There are no rules about what to share but some ideas that help keep postage low include sharing favorite apple recipes, making something that is light weight that has an apple theme, and really anything that you think would be fun to receive . With higher postage rates, it is important to keep your swap fun but not too large or heavy. We don't want
to take the fun out by paying high postage. Sign ups begin today and end on August 27. Partners will be posted on August 28th. Please try and have your swap ready to mail so that your partner can enjoy using what you send during September.
Lets' get this special celebration off to a good start and let's hear it for Apples.
We have a total of 9 participants so I am doing the round robin way to assign partners.

I am so excited to see so many apple fans already signing up!! This time of year, when early Fall is pushing forward, those beautiful apples hanging from trees are such a comforting sign that the summer's heat and humidity are on the run!!

I am excited to see apple lovers planning for a swap! I know I have been doing the same. For me, I see apples as the opening of every fall season. There are varieties called summer apples that come in early August in some states. I think apples are the first real sign from Mother Nature that we should just hold on tight until we reach the Fall Equinox in late September. Apples are a way to have some fun, delicious things to eat, and celebrate. I can't wait to see what neat ideas farmgirls come up with to celebrate with their swap partner.

Rebecca I received your wonderful, fun package. Thank you so much. I love the little picture you did and the recipe book as well as the stickers and fun earrings! I will let you know when I try the sugar topping and of course the chocolate went quick so it's not in the photo. Lol! Thank you for such a sweet swap!
