Hi farm girls, I love the cooler months. I start my Fall home decorating in August. I thought it would be fun if we posted some of the things we like to decorate with around our home.

Love that copper look!! Oh Joan, no fall decorations here until the end of September! Its still steamy hot like a bayou late summer here! Lots of bats, cicadas and humidity! My hair, long as it is is in a constant afro friz stage! So I keep it up! Happy you've got cooler temps! You're inspiring!

Very cute Joan but I cannot even to begin to think of fall yet except to wish for it. We're still in the 90s with the a/c on 24/7. Fall here usually starts the 3rd week of October in spite of what the calendar says.

Yes, I do, Joan! It’s my favorite season and I’ve just been waiting to start :). I just got some new wreaths at Hobby Lobby today. I’ll probably start putting things out next week to celebrate the start of September and goodbye to summer!

Joan, your copper sign is very pretty! I don't have any fall decorations up yet. I will start putting them up around the middle of September. We have had a couple days in the 100's this last week so summer is not ready to turn to fall yet.

I love your sign too Joan.
We are still in summer here so u still have most of my red, white and blue up. Until Veterans Day as we are still a military family:-)
But, I will admit I am thinking of Halloween for sure.
I bought this lovely witch at Ross’s yesterday, she makes me happy. And I sure need a little happy right now.
look at that face I Love it!

Love your witch -- she makes me smile, too. Gotta love Ross; we have a new one near us kind of if 20 miles is near.

In years past, I have decorated for fall starting in August. It may be 115 with 100% humidity, but fall is my favorite season! Don't think I'll do it this year, but probably next month...

A friend of mine goes overboard for many of the seasons, including Christmas, Easter, and Fall. Here are just a few of her dining room decorations for Fall. Her entire house is her canvas - every room is decorated.

Debbie your new witch is very cute, she looks like a good witch.

Linda I would love to decorate like that, but have never had enough storage.
Thank you for sharing pictures.

I sure do love these darling fall displays that some of you have. I haven't started my fall decorating yet, but as soon as September arrives, I plan to move forward despite the hottest and most humid summer I can ever remember. What I need is a littler spell from some witch to shake up the weather patterns and give us a break down here in the Florida swamp!
