It is a mini watermelon we grew in our small garden. So sweet and tasty. Our first one.

We have had so much rain, the other watermelons didn't make it to maturity. We will grow them again next year, hopefully.

Here's a funny story Joan....planted the huge Congo, red meat watermelon. 2 plants only, my garden is small. I'd forgotten Danny brought me home some seeds from where he's working. I'd forgotten them so I tossed a couple more with the others. Season started off well. Got about 3 amazing huge red sweet ones before the drought. HOWEVER, there was a 'rogue '! Round and huge as opposed to oblong and huge. Picked it and placed it in the fridge. Cut into it before Danny left back to work! It was YELLOW with black seeds!! Niether of us has even eaten yellow melted watermelons! The very best I personally have ever had! Saved the seeds! Can't wait till next year! Was the ONLY round yellow out there! Wth?
