Bonnie...love the apron.

Thanks for the anniversary wishes. I took hubby out to lunch...showed up and surprised him at the office....and gave him a gift certificate for a hot air balloon ride (something he has always wanted to do, but has not done) He got me this adorable wooden goat cart that I filled with potted flowers. Too cute.....he is a real sweetie pie!!!!!! Not sure what I did to deserve him.

Now, upstairs to put away today's JOANNs stash and get started on Halloween minis!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then maybe I will be able to sleep tonight!!

Oh and Bonnie....I LOVE the fabric....I am really into that collage look...I do rubber stamping and my favorite stamps all look like the print of that apron.

Jess.....quite a collection of work aprons, you lucky gal. I like them alot. I need to make myself a few......they all seem to get new homes and leave me tearful on the doorstep waiving to them as they leave!!! Just like kids.....you raise them, they leave..... sniff, sniff

Hi gals! I missed ya'll.
spent the weekend at the lake and was telling my friends about mini aprons, etc. I was looking for someone to tell me they needed a big apron. My boyfriend is "macho" so he says all he'll wear is a tool belt...and it is leather..LOL
I can always go back and embellish the aprons I have. Calamity Kim is an inspiration!
still working on pics to post.

Yeah, well my husband is macho too,
but he put on the apron Georgann sent me. LOL
Of course he's also quite extroverted and
doesn't care what people think~hahahaha(aka "Show-Off")

Bev, another winner! Adorable fabric.

the portable crank machine is great! I adore the beauty of it. Right now I am dying to sew...both of mine are sick! Taking both machines in to sewing machine Dr. soon.
Maybe I'll just frame a pic of treadle or the portable crank. Look at it on my wall with the country decor!

I'll catch up with the thread in a bit, just got back from running! Just had to tell ya all. I was trying to figure out where I was going to get the money to get this treadle tomorrow if it turns out to be a good one.....well.......went to the mailbox today and guess what????? I sold another children's story!!!! This time to an educational testing agency!! Wooo Hoooo....and it was a nice fat little check!!!

I'll catch up on the thread after the girls are settled in, dinner cooked, dishes washed etc.

I was out today adding to my fabric stash............and OMGolly, did I hit the mother load of fabulous fabrics at the thrift shop!!!! I'm so thrilled!! Great day so far!! Plus I haven't even begun to open all of the farmgirl envelopes that got here today!!! I will most definately be back on tonight with photos and everything. The woman who has the treadle for sale in the next county is sending me photos tonight after she gets home from work!!! I'll put them on my blog. I'm just so excited right now, I could just puke!!

Oh girls, girls. I just got caught up again. Seems I always miss about 6 pages of these posts. ACK!
Those aprons are so cool.

Georgann,
Just love that material and with the white ties and pocket. So cute! And the tea cup material. Was that yours too?

Jess,
those reversibles are great gonna have to give it a try.

Bev,
love the retro diner apron.

I don't dare look at treadles. I'm afraid I'd find one and my hubby would want to know why I need that when I already have two machines and a serger.
He doesn't understand the need to collect here.
I have an old singer I got on ebay awhile back. I think it could be converted some day.

I'm having trouble remembring all the posts I wanted to comment on.

Naomi,
Homeschooling! yes! I homeschooled all of my children and we were in Florida for 2 yrs of it. They are pretty lenient there except for the required testing.
Mine all took the GED here and did very well.
My middle daughter had her own website for awhile making wedding dresses. Right now she is making a ball gown for a dance coming up in October.

Time be off. Don't get to far ahead of me girls. hehe I'll check back before I turn in tonight.

Denise

I think Floridas loosened up even more...now you dont HAVE to take the test, you can have a portfolio reviewed by a certified teacher, you can take the test, you can school under what is called an umbrella school...and two other things that I cant remember off the top of my head...haahaa...
share what you got Aunt George!!...you "sound" pretty excited! we want pictures!! hehe

The Runaway Apron Thread!!!! LOL

Denise, 2 machines & serger is nothing! My neighbor
has 11 sewing machines. I thought I was a little nutz because
I also keep a sewing machine at my son's house, but I "only" have 2
sewing machines (electric), a serger, and now a treadle. I've
a ways to go to keep up with her~gimme time gimme time..........

Bonne...cute fabric, wish the flannel one was cotton. But how about cute flannel PJ's with sewing machines on....for you night owls who are up at all hours.

Georgann....is that running as in sneakers??? or errands?/ If it is the sneakers variety...you are definitely my idol. Congrats on the kiddie story. How neat is that!!!

You and Jess should collaborate. You girls are soooooooooo creative...like from somewhere deep inside you...too cool. My creativity comes from the ability to copy what I see.....definite lack of imagination on my part. I am more the technical type.....but as I said before, i am screaming to get out of the box a little. Just need the time to lock myself away with the raw materials. Did you all see the "ball" that Calamity Kim was talking about on her blog....now that appeals to me...could I possibly be that creative???Hmmm might consider dancing naked under the moonlight instead!! Skip the ballgown thing. Oh, what a picture I am conjuring up....oh if I were 20 years younger...but then, moonlight can be quite forgiving....especially if there are clouds!!

So, we need to start a Treadle Club....I bet we would be the only one in the country!

excellent, kids!

Okay, here is my newest one. Not the most precise job I've done but I do like the concept. E, this is for the not soap swap (you know what I mean) on that other board we frequent. :-)
