| Bonnie, I received your Monet card and Hello Kitty ribbon in the mail yesterday. Thank you! I love Hello Kitty (what gal doesn't) and I love Monet. Girl right on the money! You are so thoughtful, remembering my post about my intention to foray into Times Square to look at the Sanrio store there. Thanks again! |

Yea, I sure did get to the Sanrio store. I don't know whether it was there in 2002, but you may have missed it, it's a small store (but packed with Sanrio-goodness). I didn't get a chance to visit the Toys R Us, I was way too tired too go. :(
There was SO many people in NY this year. I was there May of last year, and there wasn't that many people. Tourism must have increased. Last year for me was the year of the Monchichi. I bought one in Times Square and I was hooked, again. It was a small one, but dressed in urban clothing. How could I resist? Do you remember them from the '70's? Little monkeys with a space in their mouth for their thumb. Cuteness!!
I plan to go back to NYC sometime this summer. The heat can be intolorable so I have to plan carefully--but so worth it. I'm planning to squeeze a visit to Century 21 (a department store in lower Manhattan with great bargins) right across from Ground Zero. I plan to pay my respects, then shop till I drop.
