ok.. now i know what an RAOK is... but what is an RAOK list?

I can not add anyone to the list beacause I still don't have it. I think the deadline has passed for the current list. Usually it goes for a few months and then the list host will start a new one. I can't remember who the host was this time.

It's a "Random Act of Kindness" list - a list of folks who are willing to do something nice for their fellow list members... Kind of like a swap group but it's random and you send stuff back and forth to others on the list - we share what our interests are and if someone finds something that they think someone else might like, they send it to them. We don't announce when we send stuff, so it is always a surprise when we get something in the mail. Might be a card with a nice note inside, a small trinket, a postcard with a recipe on it, a package of misc. goodies, etc...
The list is opened back up every three months or so... We just recently sent out the current list, so it's closed until the end of the summer.
There is nothing that says that you can't form your own list.

this is true so true... so i will give a go at starting a list...
if you are interested in joining Shu2's summer RAOK list, send me an email with your name, mailing address, phone # and interests/hobbies... also include your website addy if you have one and perhaps someone can gleen little known info about what you like from there that you might not think of including in your email. we will leave the sign up open until we get a good number of gals (and guys, if that be the case) and then we'll get started! my email addy is alishushu@yahoo.com please be sure and put RAOK List as your subject line!
