Well if you are talking postage stamps..... I did for a while about 8 years or so ago, also at that time my father gave me his small collection, I still have the book of stamps, but have not added to it in years...I really ought to get the binder off the shelf and dust it off and see what I've got...maybe I will this summer... What types of stamps do you have? Any particular type you like to collect, like say, butterflies or birds? Cheers,
~Naomi~

I used to collect stamps when I was in Jr. High school - I absolutely loved it, and I still have the collection. I was so impressed at the time that I learned what a stamp-collector is called - a philatelist. My grandpa, whom I loved dearly, taught me that. Alee - do YOU collect stamps? I used to just love the flower stamps from places like Burma/Myanmar and others... It's really a neat thing to do - there are so many worldwide interesting stamps and pictures.
XOXO, Libbie

Hi ladies-
No I don't collect stamps, but as I was browsing through some of the wares to sell in the Linen booth, I found a bunch of old stamps! Just wondering if we had anyone that was a collector here. I need to sort them as there are several that are the same and some that are unique.

What fun, Alee! I know that I've purchased "grab bags" of stamps, and that might be a possibility for selling them if they are too overwhelming to sort...

My kids and I have been collecting the "full sheets" sold by the USPS for about 6 years now. We have amassed quite a collection. It's a rather fun hobby. Plus it adds the word "philatelist" to their vocabulary - even the 1st grade teacher had to look it up! ~ K

Wonderful! I will have to make sure I get really great photos for you ladies then! I always wanted to get into stamp collecting, but never really did. I think there was a Nancy Drew book I read that dealt with stamp collecting and smuggled stamps or some such. I was always ready to get into whatever was in the latest book I was reading- especially if it sounded romantic and daring or slightly dangerous. Perhaps it was because I read them when I was 10 or 11 ish. Maybe it's just me ;)

Philatelist, how do you say that? My grandma collected stamps, I have her collection in my attic. I love to look at them, but there are too many. Anybody have a good idea on how to store them, in a more practical way?
