Well I am a soaper, and I have lots of heel pieces of soaps off of my regular batches. These are the end cuts that didnt make the weight. Most weigh about 4 oz or 2 oz... just the way the cutter cuts. These are all vegetable castille soaps! They are 40% olive oil.
I use the same base recipe for all batches I sell Ingredients : Saponified oils of Olea europaea (olive) fruit, Elaeis guineensis (palm and palm kernel), Cocos nucifera (coconut), and Helianthus Annuus (sunflower seed oil); spring water, Butyrospermum Parkii (shea butter).
Most are colored with mineral pigments, mica or clay. 2 have FD&C Color (red currant & neroli)
About half have all essential oils, and the other half have fragrance oil.
But I can make one pound mixed bags... or 2 lb bags... or more
Use the ones you like... and you can instant re-gift the ones you dont. They do make good stocking stuffers and if kept dry, last for years. And everyone uses soap, or they should.
So what do you make? I like anything with yarn, because I dont knit or crochet. Or sewn or stitched... Things for the kitchen or bathroom... Aprons, totes, handbags hair stuff, scarves... Pretty much anything that you make I love! I am really in to handmade stuff.
Oh and dont be shy, I have a big show coming up, a huge wholesale order going to Korea then another big show.... then I go into the holiday season.... So I have lots, and there is only soap much soap a 2 adults, a 3 yr old & an infant can use.
Check out the links next to the names of the beautiful hand made items I have recieved. There is so much talent in this group! I just love everything! Wow! Ladies I just had to show off your talent!!!

elizabeth.... i would LOVE to have some of your soap... i wanted in on the soap swap, but i don't make soap (yet). i do all sorts of things, but my main specialty is jewelry. i use gemstones and sterling silver or copper wire. i also focus on the healing properties of the stones, making custom pieces for individuals with dis-ease or dis-orders. if you would like to swap with me, let me know... i do other sew-y things too, if jewelry isn't your cup of tea. thanks for being so generous with your "left overs"

Whoa E, if you don't know how Jessica does it, Jessica must be superwoman incarnate. :-)
You know I'll always do stuff with ya depending on what is going on ... maybe not right this minute but who knows, if I have something already on hand ya want, ya never know.
By the way girlies, E's soap is quite the soap. My soap wants to be E's soap when it grows up... *L*
Crunchy crafty goodness and psychoses...;-)http://nashbabe.blogspot.com |

Elizabeth, I'd love to get some soaps. I mean who doesn't use that? How do you feel about crocheted doilies? If you would like them let me know colors and I could get them done for you.

Denise, Sounds great! Email me your addy and I will get that box out today!
Stephanie, Sorry I don't. I don't make anything that doesn't have EO's FO's or a combination of both. I am one of these true believers that soap needs something, so if it is an EO, you need a lot for maximum benefit, or if it is an FO, no one should have to "try" to smell it. Also all of my soaps are colored one way or another. They are actually color coded... People when reordering describe scent in very different ways... but if you ask them what color and chunky stuff is in it... I know exactly what they had bought. So they are happy and I am happy. There are quite a few soapmakes on this board, I am sure someone does a naked castile.

I'd love to trade one of my crocheted cotton-net grocery bags for a pkg of your soaps. If you would like to email me, I can send you a pic of my bags, pick a bag and we'll trade. *grin* I love hand-made soap.
Blessings. |

Kati, Do you Crochet anything else?
My retired spinster Aunt Nancy makes these for us by the metric ton. We keep her busy (I have 2 sisters) and out of trouble (off HSN & QVC) by bring her string & twine to make us more. She is not all there these days and being a retired High School teacher, she would probably flip if she knew that last balls I brought her were Organic Hemp. LOL. I hope my cousin has a baby soon... since we will start bring her blanket stuff. She only will crochet these sacks and baby blankets.... one day or less projects.

SunShine, 5 lbs are on the way to you! I am so excited!!! Woo Hoo
I am not going to tell you my retail price, since I dont want you to choke. But for the price I charge, people expect a perfect bar of soap... that is why I trim the heels off. But then again, all olive oil is imported, but IMHO nothing makes better soap so I am not cutting any corners either.
But Ladies, I still have 2 -2 lb boxes ready to go, and in the next few weeks I will probably have another 10+ lbs of heels again.

Oh I'd love to have some of your soap, Elizabeth! What do you want me to make you in exchange? I make quilted hot pads, hair barettes, I have a couple little guest towels I could cross stitch with whatever you'd like...just a few ideas! Let me know!
Blessings,
