I have to pour double batches of 5 more kinds of soap today. So there will be variety in the packages. I didnt think anyone wanted all oatmeal milk & honey and almond soaps.
I forgot to mention this, but it is best when you get them to let them air out.. for a day or 2 so you can smell each individual bar. Being shipped together, they tend to start to smell like each other.

LOL I've got 3 and 4 year old soaps sitting out, unwrapped, on a bookshelf in my room (interspersed with the books, on top, on the sides, in front) drying. Quickly found out, when I started using handmade soaps, that the longer they are allowed to cure (within reason, of course), the longer they last. So, I'm just now using soaps bought in 2003 & 2004, and a 4 oz bar lasts me about a month.
Beth, it'll be another week before I've got your goodies ready to get out to ya, but you'll definitely be getting them before too long.
Blessings. --Kati |

Elizabeth -- I rushed over to my soaps, all still wrapped up tight against each other, and separated them out, taking a deep whiff of each one to see if they'd melded into one universal smell! I think they are still 'individuals' -- I think I detected lilac, lily of the valley, and others . . . .
Did you receive my tote? I'm eager to see how you like it.

Katie-ell, I recieved your tote yesterday, and I just love it.... I have been showing everyone around. I was going to take a picture to post so everyone can see too and post in on my blog.... It is really just perfect! and I am loving it!
But for now I have to run out and check out a store... sales call.... then I will be back making soap and taking pictures.
Even if they are kept together for a while, you can air them out.... it just takes longer. The soap will last longer the older it gets, but I like to use them about 4-6 mos old the best.... I think they smell the best at that age.... some scent just blossom with age and others will fade...
Everything is color coded, so if you can tell me what color it is and the color of the swirls.... I can tell you what ya got. The solid purple colored one is Lilac. Oatmeal chunks.... is Oatmeal milk & Honey... Solid pinky red is red currant....

Elizabeth, I'd like to trade something for some soap.
I make:
Crocheted/Knit stuff - knit hats (loomknit); scarves (scarves either crocheted or loom knit); crochet dishcloths; crocheted triangular head scarves; amigurumi (crocheted animal toys); crocheted flower pins
Paper products - handmade stationery (notecards and envelopes); handmade bound books (with blank pages)

| You know what - this whole time I've been seeing this post and I thought it said "handmade all veggie SOUP to bartaer" I kept thinking, now how is she gonna mail soup - it must be dehydrated or something. Well, you know the mind is the first to go. |

Sure I would love to swap with you Erin! Please email me at BotanicalBath@peoplepc.com or through the site
Sherri... that is funny, since I have typed soap instead of soup.

Elizabeth, I'm glad you like them. I do put starch in my doilies and after some washings they will need to be done again. I soak them in a light solution so you could just use spray starch. I don't like them stiff but I don't like them floppy either. I am working on a couple more right now. I am trying out some new patterns.

I am glad you liked it sorry it was so late. I was banned from driving the car as you know. My husband didn't want me and all three girls getting in a wreck as I take them everywhere with me. Glad you had fun. The lace are the hair wraps that I make and sell that where mentioned in MJ's book. Just an FYI. You can wear them in your hair or around your neck or just use them as yardage lace.

Elizabeth - take your time, please... I'm not in a hurry and it will take me a little bit to get your items made. I sent you an email with some additional questions. If you get a chance to check your email in the next couple of days, that would be great...Thanks.
