                      | current project using mini cd as template not the same size we are doing for this swap but smaller. this is a gift for Suzyhomemaker it is ok if she sees it before getting it. It is a thank you for her as she was real kind to me in the resent past. I am still sewing the blocks together so it will actually be square when done not wonky like photo

                      | Here I am up from pain, and what do I see, but a gift for me!!!! WOW!!! Sunshine, it is beautiful, so VERY LOVELY!! I don't know what to say. I have tears in my eyes. It is such a treasured gift, every stitch done by hand. It's amazing, and I can't believe you are going to give it to me. Thank you so very much. I promise it will be hung in a prominent spot in the dining area of the house and it will be well loved and cared for.

                      | I saw a review in the new issue of American Patchwork and Quilting for the heart and flower yo-yo makers andthey had samples. Those heart ones are so cute. I am going to have to look for this tool.
Oh, I made yo-yos while Jake was at his library program this year. The children were fascinated by it. It was a theme of birds one time, and the kids were making little birdnests and little playdough eggs. I made each of them a mini yo-yo as a special "egg" for their nests while the story and craftg was being done. They each picked one out. It was so cute. One baby sister just played with a few, and it helped keep her quiet for that story time. Yo-yos are good entertainment.

                      | I noticed the lovely small holes too. I can't seem to get mine consistently the same size. Oh well -- off to practice. I have 25 done.

                      | I made my own HEART yo yo pattern by cutting out a heart like we did when we were kids! Kinda using the same size as a CD. The heart yo yo's are darling!
 Hugs,

                      | Wow! Yo-yo inspiration! What do the heart/flower/yo-yo gadgets from Clover do for you? Is it just a pattern for cutting out, or does it hold the fabric in some sorta way for you while you sew? I can't figure it out!

                      | it holds the fabric you cut while it is holding the fabric and it has holes that you stitch through while it is holding the fabric which gives you even stitches always the same count. place on the heart and flowers they the holes are stratigicly placed to form the shape

                      | sounds very complex! I think I will stick with circles, but Maryjane Lee has sent some heart ones to me for something else I do love them dearly...hmmmm...what to do. |

                      | it is actually very easy. But you can't use as short of a thread while doing it this way. So it ends up using more thread to make yo-yos I don't know if that makes since
 clover tool
 steps are
 1. place fabric in gadget snap close
 2. trim fabric
 3. stitch and pop out gadget base
 4. close and knot

 traditional
 1. place template on fabric
 2. trace ( if you do this I don't) then trim
 3. stitch
 4. close and tie off

 not much different

have a lovely day and may God bless you and keep you safe

                      | Oh Sunshine, those little gems are in the mail to you, all 150 of them. Okay, yes I know got a little carried away, I still have a 100 more that I cut out. Crazy yes, but oh so way fun. So here is my yoyo adventure. I misplaced(lost) sunshine's address. Emailed her and she was very prompt to get it to me. Thank you btw. I wrote it down gathered up my packages happy as a clam and went to the post office. I got the other 2 packages off, handed her the third and what do I discover. I forgot to put the address on the package, it was still at home in the notebook. ARRGGHHHHH
So in the little black Geo I go without the air conditioning in 95 degree weather and zip back home for it. Back I go again and thankfully this time I have everything. So of those little gems tried jumping out of the package but I told them they had to go to their new homes. LOL They are now on their way. Yeahhhhh.

                      | I sat in the doctors office for 1 1/2 hours today! I always carry my little bag with pre-cut circles, needles, thread (I use quilt thread for strength) and little scissors! One person asked what I was doing and then the whole room was talking about Yo Yo's! It was great! I need to fill my little bag up again!
P.S. You sew the heart yo yo's just like the round ones! The only difference is when you gather it up it's a heart! Make your own pattern and try it! Sooo easy!

 Hugs,
 Maryjane Lee
