Mind you, sheep don't give as much as goats or cows, but I've been getting between 3-4 lbs per day from Bessie and it's been more than enough to keep me busy! Today I made mozzarella, the other day cajeta (caramel) topping and a few days before made mint chocolate chip ice cream! I'm going to have to make more ice cream and add the caramel to it so I can get it used up (and make more, lol!)
Oh, and Darling and I made the most faboo dip last weekend! Queso Blanco cheese mixed with herbs, onion, garlic and a bit of mayo so it would stick together. To die for goodness!!!

Way to go Tracey. It is so good to have those fresh dairy products! My Summer is dry right now, and I sure do miss them. Boughten does not come close to the goodness of fresh. Next thing we know you will be milking 2 sheep!!! Have fun with it.

Yay Tracey..I have heard that sheep milk makes awesome cheese!! How fun!! My Icelandic ewe is very dairy type (very nice udder!!) and if I didn't have Mona and her massive amount of milk already I would sure think about milking her! Have fun!

Hey Tracey; now that I think of it, we do live in the same state! Anyway, enjoy your milking...

Jenny, you should give it a try. At least a few milkings just to see what you get. I wish someone would milk their icelandics out and keep records to share; most of the icelandic folks I know love to push them as a dairy breed, but then they tell me they never keep track.
Jo, is that you? Over there across the road of chaos??? Howdy, neighbor!
