Your yarn is beautiful. I have just started crocheting again. My "yarn knowledge" is limited to what's at hobby lobby and walmart and then I'm only buying the cotton yarn for dishcloths. Is the wool soft? I'm just thinking about my pendelton coat and wool socks being coarse feeling. I would like to crochet a neck gator/hood combo thing to feed in this winter. Something in carhart browns maybe.

Hi Leanne, and thank you! The merino is super soft. New Zealand is a bit on the scratchy side. Faulkland is in between, leaning more towards soft. The double ply is more soft than scratchy as the green is the east friesian and very 'fluffy', if that's a word that describes wool. I've got more that I haven't quite gotten to photographing yet; they're the natural colored wools.

Julia, you spin too?!?!?! What kind of wheel do you have?
Very nice yarns, Tracey! I currently have two spinning projects going on. Some black Icelandic lamb fleece that is being spun into sppros 18 wpi with a blue/green glitz. This will be double plyed and knitted into a hooded, bell sleeved sweater for my daughter. The bell shaped sleeves will be striped with a green colorway and blue colorway of Romney (or was it Rambouilet???) The green and blue are already spun and plied. Just got to get through the combing and combining the glitz in the Icelandic.
Also have some grey Rambouliet on a bobbin now. Will be a single ply, about 20 wpi for a pair of socks from my foster son
