Hi my name is Jo. I'm 41 with a 9 year old boy and a 7 year old girl. We sold the farm due to my husbands health and moved to town and I miss it terribly. I still garden and can, quilt, sew, and knit as time allows. We homeschool both kids and I also go to college in my 'spare' time.

I've been hanging around the boards for a week or so just reading and seeing what the community is like. I must say everyone seems very friendly and I look forward to being a part of the community.

Hi Jo...what part of Oklahoma are you in? I live in Marietta, which is just south of Ardmore. Are you anywhere close? My friend and I have just started a farmgirl chapter. Look forward to getting to know you.

Hi, Jo. I work at a community college here in Louisville, KY. My dh went back to college when we were first married, so I know firsthand and see every day how hard it is to pick up your education at a later time. Congratulations to you! What's you major?

Welcome, Aunt Jo! I saw another posting where you have 24 neices and nephews? Whew! I am Aunt Jo to 18 and I thought that was a lot! How many siblings and Siblings-In-Law do you have? More importantly, have you started your christmas shopping yet???

Thank you Maryjane, Pauline, Jenny, Beverly, and Carol Sue for the warm welcome.

Jo, thanks for the welcome.Collectively we have 10 siblings with 10 spouses so it's easy to see how we have 24 neices and nephews with more on the way. Christmas! I started in February and I'm nearly done.

Hi, Jo! Welcome from one of the Louisiana farmgirls. You're right. There are a lot of nice people here. And always remember, just because you live in the city doesn't mean you can't still be a farmgirl!!!!!

Welcome Jo,

It's nice to know someone else in my age group going back to school. My major is in Biology and thinking of ag economics or horticulture for my minor. I would love to keep in touch with you to see what your experiences have been like.
