Okay, you all may be sad and wondering where everyone was, but it made catching up easier for me. So thank you.

Yes, I have a new grandson who arrived on March 4th, with an intense 4 hour labor for dd, Lavender Fields Dreamer. But Mr. Caleb is one increible chubby little boy, weighing in at 10lbs and 2 oz, 21 inches long. Yep, I crossed my legs at that one too. It is taking dd a bit to recoup and then she got hit with postpartum, so taking meds and doing better finally with that.
News with my mom is that she has bone cancer. It is better than we expected because it is slow growing. She was checked 6 months ago, which means they got it early. Treatment will start after 2 more tests next week. I feel like I finally have some breathing space, ya know what I mean.
Yesterday I walked in my sewing room and looked around trying to get reaquainted.
I am glad that you all are starting to feel better. Praying that that continues.
Here is to each of you having a good morning and fairing well.

I received my bee fabric, but when I checked my pattern I realized I didn't order enough. I guess I'll have to be creative with it. I'm sure if i go excavating I'll find something I can use with it, or if need be, make a less loony looking apron. Karin

Hey everyone!
I'm still here-just reading more than posting-

I have so little time right now.
The wedding is in countdown mode- finalizing EVERYTHING!!!
Helped my daughter clean their apartment- the house is not done.
Now it's time for ALL the yard work and final run on the money!
My sweet hubby planned a vacation for us the week after the wedding so we can kick back and rest.Boy will I need that!!!
Anyway- I kinda keep up with things on the blog- but even that is hit and miss right now!
Everyone ok?
I have been so sad about Clare- I had no idea she was facing such a serious illness. She is so brave and thinking of things that are so important. Especially with all all the happy things going on- I am mindful that it is not so for everyone.
It makes me keep first things first!

Blessings,
Autumn

Hi everyone! Glad to see you all did not talk to much. I was able to catch up quickly! My friend's son was killed in a terrible car crash this Saturday (they drove off of the bluffs into the water--the driver is still missing) and we have been dealing with that all weekend. Plus, I finished the drama club this weekend, so I will be around more.

Carol Sue: YAY about the baby! Hope you and your mom have lots of time left to be together too!

In my time home this weekend, I made a variation of the Irish Chain quilt. It's on my blog. I got it done for St. Patricks Day!

Hey Jess,

I'm doing fine..been doing the Income Tax thing, finishing up some swaps and getting them mailed, beginning new ones ,..organizing paperwork, all the patterns I've brought with me and other loose printed matter that I can't seem to do without..LOL I'm so addicted to paper...it's rediculous! I guess we all have our quirky nature....going to the mountain house this Thursday for 3 days..will load up more stuff to bring back.

After reading Clare's update and having a good long sobbing cry I really have taken note of what it means to live in the moment. My heart just breaks for her. I am so glad she posted all of the details of what she is facing so our loving energy can surround her all the time.

Sheryl-lyn, so sorry to hear about your friends son..how tragic!

Autumn, loving those carrots! That upcoming vacation will be one to remember..

Carol Sue, HI!! Glad your grandbaby and daughter are doing fine.

Karin, FYI...Hancock Fabrics has some pink fabrics that are for "breast cancer research" that I'm sure would probably work with the bee and clover fabric.

Bonne, you made anymore wrap skirts?..I came across a wrapskirt pattern on craftzine.com and thought of you.

Sharon, hope your moms doing better and you are getting all that sewing caught up.

Naomi, I know you off having a good time...

Bev, Kiss those kids for me

(((((hugs and love))))

Things are going better. Still trying to get all the money back that was drained from my mom's bank account. I feel like I am the one who is the victim. My mom's recovery is very slow. The woman who used my mom as target practice has been moved out of the nursing home-thank goodness.

I feel good that I did get some aprons finished. I have to start on the other quilt. I finally found all the embroidery designs that I want for the quilt. You should be seeing some pictures of the embroidered squares next week, and pictures of the other finished quilt. I must get the other quilt ironed and pictures taken. I am relying on my son for the pictures, but I feel that it won't happen any time soon as school is stressful especially with this 6 week jammed packed course.

Wow, are we ladies having challenges and fun and craziness all at the same time.
Hey Jess when do you go back to visit your Dad? Been thinking about you a lot.
Ok, some of your are quite extraordinary getting all that done that you do. I feel very accomplieshed when I go get to sit in my sewing room and go ahhh. LOL
You all make my day, that and little Caleb's sweet face. Smile

I am not sure when i go back to see my Dad. I got home at 1:30 this morning and I have been on the phone all day dealing with stuff for him. Appparently he was not a very good patient today...so I have been working things out from here. But in 1 month I spent 18 days with him, so I really have a lot to get back on track around here. It is all so much work I am having a hard time figuring out where to start.

Jess,
I started a part time job last month so my time for projects has been cut way down. I did manage to do the yo-yo swap but I need to get going on embroidering my farmgirl badge. At least they are small projects I can do while at lunch. Haven't had an opportunity to start any aprons or quilts yet. I think I need to get my time more organized on my days off. I've been trying to keep up with what's going on here but don't get much computer time and our computer got fried in a power outage last week so didn't have computer access for awhile. Had to go buy a new one.
How are things going with you and with your dad? Hope you are able to get things caught up at home. Sometimes life just gets so busy with different responsibilities. Most of the things I need to get caught up on are hobbies but when you don't get to do any it's like going through withdrawal.

REALLY!! isn't it awful how these things manage to get in the way of our personal life..?
I really hate this! This Working crap.. It takes away from my socializing.. & my crafting! Who in their right mind came up with this?? I have so many started & unfinised projects going on right now.. i think Im just going to have to diagnose myself..
lets see.. must be something along the lines of Bi-fabric-Polar.. Manic-Sewing-Depressive.. & Paranoid-shopping/thrifting schitzoid..
Yes.. That all sounds about right..

Jess.. did i miss anything do you think.. ? It sounds like I covered it all.. don't you think?

Missed ya little girl.. So glad your back.. i did hear your phone call.. Thank you so much.. I needed that.. still so crazy for me right now.. But trying to learn coping skills.
i think i have decided that i don't much like this at all..
I'd rather NOT cope..but just sleep..indefinatly at this point..
I'm so glad your home.. & your Dads leveling it out it sounds like.. I'll talk to you soon Sweet Pea..

Miss all of you of course..
Just trying to drop in now & then to my favorite spots & Peeps!

Love ya Girls..

Oh, heck, he'd be in heaven cleaning up after a storm.
They used to scare me, until Red took the time to show me how to run one~a lightweight
one that I could easily handle. Then I wanted to cut up everything I could find~LOL
He's a good teacher that way~doesn't belittle or raise his voice, like so many men do
that intimidates women. ;)
