Adorn is a "new to me" magazine. I picked up past issues at Hancocks for .99 cents each last week. I had no idea what fun I was missing! I think I am going to subscribe as the magazine is very reasonable and just oh so neat! Isn't that apron just adorable?
  Thanks for sharing Stephanie!

Y'all have been missing too many fun things!!! And the Adorn mag is so reasonably priced Some issues every other page is turned for me to go back to and then others just a few but it's full of "trendy chic styles" and ideas.
I think of our member Naomi Michelle when I look at it. She designs with that same chic look
Thanks for looking..I'll be adding more.
  Stephanie

                       Thank you Stephanie!
I think I want to make several of everything. I actually love the maternity apron, it is comfy and frilly and looks sweet and I want the no frills frilly for my basic official farmgirl apron. I LOVE it and it fits my lifestyle really well. I need a well worn treadle machine and about a zillion dollars. While looking for fun stuff online, I found this vintage pattern site with real live patterns to buy, but just a walk through (if you can resist some of the wonderful patterns and sit firmly on your credit cards) is like a kids trip through the candy store. Here are several pages of vintage patterns to spark your imaginations and tempt your self control with.
  Happy Friday and weekend Annika

                      Hey there Margie,
I haven't printed it out yet either and I'm not sure where your problem is so I'll tell you my thoughts and then you can let me know what else you need to know.
You will click on "File", "Print", if you want to print out every page then you will select "Pages 1-12", if you have a "scaling" option at your printer area mark it as "none" instead of "fit to page". This will let it print the size she intended.
It pattern pieces themselves are going to print out from page 5 through 12 for a total of 8 pages to print. Then you can look at the piecing diagram she has on page 4 to see how each piece connects together. Since the printer will not print lines all the way to the edge of your print outs you will tape them together and then connect the lines from page to page.
Ok, let me know if that made sense and if it's something else you need to know.
Oh yeah, the pattern pieces 1-4 are cut out first with the fabric on the fold then you unfold the fabric and cut out your "tie" pieces.
  Hope that helped, Stephanie
PS: anyone that's on dial-up will have a little download time since this file is over 7mg in size.

                      Hey Katmom,
Did you look at her fabric? I love the Patches and the Kitchen fabric I'll have to look at the cross stitch. She's got quite a bit of stuff on her site and I just love her fun artistic expression.

Great info stephanie! I just got into Adorn magazine a few issues ago and now I start stalking around the magazine racks when it's about to come out. Another great magazine website is Craftzine.com. The magazine itself is a little overwhelming for me, but if you go to their website and click on the blog button you can find tons of great craft ideas and links. Many of these have patterns attached. I actually made bibs for a friends baby shower and a utensil holder for my lunchbox from some things I found linked through this website. A website a just love is sewmamasew.com. They also have a great blog with occassional tutorials. For the month of November they are going to be doing 30 projects to sew in 30 days-can't wait! Thanks stephanie for putting all of these great websites together for us! Amanda

                      Hey there Amanda,
I'm a Pattern Addict (oops, collector) and there are no support groups for us! The Craftzine..isn't that the one that is about the same size as the Adorn mag but cost like 19.99? I always go to the website or stand there trying to mentally take photographs of the stuff I like..LOL
I'll be adding more so check back soon!

                      Margie,
I too wish you a speedy recovery. It's hard to make major changes in our eating lifestyles to better take care of ourselves. I've just recently changed my entire diet due to my Gall Bladder.
I'm now on Chicken Breast, Fresh Fish, Raw Veggies, Fresh Fruits, Distilled Water, Flaxseed Oil Capsules and using the seed oils only. I've eliminated all Dairy Products. I've been drinking Dandelion and Milk Thistle teas that are good for the Gall Bladder and Liver.
Now I wonder why I haven't eaten this way all along I'm feeling so much better than I was a week ago.
Just Thought I would share what's working for me. It's simple and easy to prepare.
Let us know how you are doing, Ok?
  Stephanie

                      Hey Margie,
The Natural Food stores are about the only place to find the specialty teas.
You can also take those two herbs as supplements every day. They come in capsules. I'm getting mine today. The tea and my diet change has saved me, I do believe. I feel better and refuse to go back to how I used to treat my body...LOL
A very old lady from a natural food store told me years ago that when you reach 50 years old you had better change your diet and go to 75% raw veggies and fresh fruits and 25% cooked. I knew she was right and now I know for sure because that's exactly what I've done. It's great and so easy to stay on track with it.
I haven't had any sugar except for what is in the fruits and I'm not having withdrawals..which is hard to believe!
  Talk to you later, Stephanie

                      Hey Margie,
Since you've had your gall bladder removed it's especially important to protect you liver. The Dandelion Root and the Milk Thistle both are good for the liver. You'll need to check at your Natural food shops. They have the best selection. With your heart attacks you should discuss the supplements that are best for protecting your heart also.
I went back to the Chiropractor today and I'm doing much better...It's interesting how our bodies "tell on us"..LOL The spot in my back that's just about driven me to despair over the past month is directly related to the Gall Bladder. The nerve endings send messages to the spine when there is distress. It has proven to be perfectly true. That's how I've been able to turn myself around without a surgeon...just a chiropractor and changing my lifestyle where eating is concerned and also reducing stress factors.
  Talk to you soon, Stephanie
