After much consideration and knowing I need to get back to business I have my website back up. Thanks in advance for all you support during my mom's illness and death. Farmgirls are the best!
I hope things are getting back to a bit more of an even course for you. I would say "normal" but it will be a while before this new life is "normal" without your mom, won't it?
I am _really_ excited for your store to be re-opening, though! You are a very talented soaper!
Farmgirls- If you haven't tried Susan's soaps, I highly recommend it! They are the smoothest and have some of the richest creamiest lathers that I have ever had the pleasure of soaping with!
Alee The amazing one handed typist! One hand for typing, one hand to hold Nora!
WOW thank you Alee! Those are very very generous compliments!
Dear Alee, things will never be normal. Now that I have lost both my parents (and Jerry's are gone too) it is very strange to be the "older generation". Very strange. We hosted Thanksgiving (and it was wonderful) and we will host a HUGE Christmas feast as well. I believe Grandma Suzi and Grandpa Jerry's place will be THE place to be from here on out! Which is wonderful with us. Jerry loves to feed people and will do 50% or more of all the cooking and preparations for company. I think we will be doing an Italian Christmas this year. Since we just had all the traditional foods a week ago (our Thanksgiving had to be early because he is now back in Africa) we thought we might put a twist on things. And especially since everyone who will be feasting with us, when then have other Christmas meals to attend during the week.
I am going to watch the Macys parade with the kiddos this morning and then sew the rest of the day. Apron orders to fill you know! I have my neice for the week -except for today when whe will be with her parents for meals at grandparents. She and my Benjamin are 9 months apart - he's older. Tomorrow we will do a cooking show. They have been writing, directing and making DVD's of their cooking show "Cooking with Ben & Syd" for over a year now. They are ADORABLE! Rachel (15) does the filming and editing. I personally think they have something going here! Future TV chefs!!!
wanted to add this little pic...arent they adorable??? Making chicken enchiladas!
Have a wonderful day! And farmgirl hugs to you all!
