Brand new --just made them today. These are a varigated wine --800 YYP -acrylic boucle yarn .I used varaigated eyelash yarn around the top and bottom for a splash of color. These are a bit lighter than the blue and tan ones **I have gotten addicted to these. I have arthrits in my hands and i wear this type glove on the colder days around the housee and to sleep in. The teenagers all think they are the "rage "/ Shoot they are great for old people at home or in a nursing home too :) Barter Value is 15.00 Check out my barter page for items i look for. If bartering for them with fabric --looking for 3 yds of heavier cotton blends with pretty or unusual designs or pretty pattern silky stuff. Not looking for quilt piece -- lighter weight cottons at this time. www.bartertribalwitch.blogspot.com
I will probaly go thru my yarns this coming week and make different colors up. I think i may have a mauve pink yarn. I hadnt crocheted for couple months now and it was so relaxing.
I would love the ones without the eyelash trim. I have some very pretty brocade fabric that is oriental looking. It is chocolate brow with a flying crane, a tree and a cloud in a repeating pattern. The pattern is done in gold thread. If this isn't something you are interested in I could go look and see what else I have. I could also trade you some glass milk bottles if you are interested.
the fabric sounds perfect !!!!!!! Will send ya the ones without the eyelash trim :) I think you will like them. I hardly take mine off. The arthritis in my hands just dont bother me anymore.
I am so glad you like it!! I love that fabric. I used it to make some "built in" valences for the drapes in my living room. It's such a fun elegant fabric!
i can handle the yucky winter ones at the grocery if they are covered in c.h.......oo............cc....................oo..l................a.tt..ee.... I got a little melting temp crockpot the other day. I am debating choc and strawberries tomorrow night while i am in bed reading and it is 2 degress out .
I am wearing my new gloves as I type! They are really great! Ladies- If you are thinking you would like a pair of these- Get them! They are super duper! The yarn she used feels nice and sturdy and my arms are very warm and toasty right now! yay! She made them long enough that they cover about half the length of my fingers for warmth or if I need a bit more dexterity, I can fold the finger part back and have more movement without sacrificing warmth. They also go all the way to my elbows.
I actually think this will help my wrist that has been aching from the crafting I have been doing. Keeping it warm is a priority!
Thank you so much, Lisa! And the beautiful extras you put in are so lovely and sweet! Thanks a gazillion!
I am glad you are enjoying them . I cant do without mine . That little bit of warmth really makes a difference doest it ? They are a undiscovered secret . Hope your wrist gets better !!
