The quilts are finished and will be hard to part with. I used natural chenille for the backing so they are super soft and the vintage ticking from Miss Wilma speaks for itself.

Sweet Mima has the red one heading her way so where is the blue one going? It is $60 and I will take special orders for more.

Warmly, Rebekka

Rebekka, they're sooo pretty!! We are "hoping" for a family this year, and I've already mentioned your blankets (and other items) to dh. He thought the blanket sounded fab--and they are!!!

Since these are the first two you've made, and we have no "bebe" yet, I will probably be more of the "custom" made girl :)

Wilma-
You are welcome. It was so satisfying to take these little scraps and turn them into something that will be loved and used. Though I always enjoy sewing it was a special treat to recycle these amazing fabrics into a new creation. Thank you for sharing them with me.
Love- Rebekka

Mima, it is so true! For now, we take big family camp trips each summer. You should see how much we load up. We call our two families the nuked family, as in not really nuclear but one huge nuked family. When Rebekka and I met it was love at first sight. And our families adore each other too! Jack and Stella are just three weeks apart and Bella was our inspiration to even start thinking about Stella. But we do look forward to those girlfriend vacations someday! For now, we enjoy a fabulous bloody mary every couple of weeks, just us girls.

And, Rebekka almost always has to make double of all her sewing projects so I can purchase one of everything or three or four!! She sure makes buying for all the baby showers a breeze and I get all these compliments, as if I have anything to do with her skills!

Meg-
You know you have wild skills of your own mama, embroidery and spoiling people to top that list! I am thankful every day for you;) You are right on Mima, we are so looking forward to those weekends away. It sounds like we may need to join yours- trader joes, wine, hotels and massages. Though I must say that our camping trips keep me fully entertained for the present. What a nice discussion to be part of first thing in the morning;) I feel like the luckiest girl every day, living in our sweet little town with the best friends a family could want and on top it off the most wonderful farm down the road. Bliss.

I'm blissed-out reading this thread! Rebekka Goddess, these quilts are G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S!!! just like their maker! LOVE them!! Reo was cuddled in the one you and Meg made for Aria this afternoon. He's got some funky tummy crud that is lingering. Poor baby!!

Mima, you lucky Goddess...going to MaryJane's soon and getting to meet these fabulous farmgirl angels. All I can say is yum-yum-yum-yum-yum!!

blessings! ~julia
