Once hubby hunk gets off deployment, he will be out of the military. YIPEEE!!! I think this next year is a kind of preparation for our new fresh life. A new state, TEXAS, new jobs, Polic for him, healthcare for me, Charlie is 2 already (time sure does fly).
We sold about 65% of what we owned when I had to come back here to Cally for a short time while we worked out a few things. We are going back to a 3 bedroom apartment, again until hubby gets home and hopefully (keep fingers crossed) we can buy a small house (oh the dreams of painting it, planting a gardens, putting out my hammock...oh... )
My goals while hubby is away is to plough through college as best I can- not looking for A's, just graduate!!! and get our debt under control. I also look forward to teaching Charlie how to swim and attending a few of the local town get together's (fair, town days, kids stuff, etc) over the coming year.
Fresh start is really what this is since we have moved 5 times in one year and it was always in anticipation of the next move. At least getting to Texas for good is step in the right direction. I can feel good things on the horizon.
So, I will check in with all ya'll after we get settled in Texas!!!
Cheers, Heather

Yay Heather! I am so excited that this is the final year for your hubby in the military! I remember you posting about you two making that decision a while ago. I think this will be wonderful for you and finally you will be able to settle where you want!
Don't forget about the USDA Rural Development program to help you get into a house! They help people who even have credit issues!

Thank you all!!! We have had such a crazy 3 years of moving and never getting settled, not making friends, moving Charlie around in daycare and having to adjust, college stress, MILITARY stress (extensions on contracts, deployment, no deployment, deployment)...it has all come to a point where we are just ready to move on...
So Thanks!!!
Cheers, Heather
