Thanks for feeding us, Miss Wilma. And Jonni - David talked about the sweet potato pie on the way home! I think he wished he had taken a piece 'to go'. :) I'm sure ready to go back next month. I'll be trying to raise the money to buy those white corner cabinets, Jonni. I got the man's phone number. And every time I see the kitchen in the farmhouse, those cabinets are in the corners on either side of the bay window - LOL! Poor David, he just doesn't have a clue. He thought the fish planter was bad....I forgot to take a pic of that purchase. Here's some of the other things I bought: A Japanese majolica sugar bowl and creamer.
plastic bird cage(bad photo - sorry)
Another paper doll for my 'I don't collect paper dolls' paper doll collection. ;) I'm sitting here thinking about setting up there and trying to sell some of my stuff next month...nothing is moving in the antique mall in New Albany, and I'd sure like to sell some things...hmmmm.....just don't know.

Oh my goodness! How cool would it be if you did sell some stuff, Janice!!! It didn't seem like the booth rental fee was bad, that's for sure! Janice, those white corner cabinets belong to you--seriously. And Lebanon isn't that far from where we were, like I said. Right up 71. I sure did love them...they would just be gorgeous! I'd love to see the blueprints for the interior of the farmhouse, to see where all your "treasures" are going to go! That birdcage rocks, as do the majollica owls. Cutie cute!!! I'm thinking that I didn't even get to the flipside of the show yesterday....I was just having so much fun hanging out and taking my time, looking. So glad David liked the pie. Like I said, it's an ooooooold recipe from my Nanny's nanny's mammy :)..nothing but the purest ingredients in there.

Jonni - did Jus find out anything about the artist who painted those envelopes? I can understand why it took him so long to choose. I just kept looking from one to the other and back again. Each one so perfect and the colors so bright. But the one laying there with the woman hanging laundry on the clothes line was my fav...well...we are farmgirls, after all. :D

Janice, we did a brief search last night but didn't see anything on line. Justin said he did all those with a brush! Can't believe it...I did like the clothesline one, too...think we'll probably be taking a trip down to Midway, Kentucky shortly so he can get some more. It would be nice to have 2-3 set of 3 matted and framed in the study. Gosh, we have soooo much to get framed!!!
Linder-- Wish you were here! It's comin' around again next month, on the 18th, so hop a plane, girly!

Great photos, ladies! Love being able to put faces with names, and Jonni, don't be bashfule, you are just as cute as a bug's ear! As good in front of the camera as you are behind it, for sure! Thanks for posting about your farmgirl adventures, it's fun to see.

Janice - you have to show what you did with the fish thingamajig. It was funny as it was moved further down the hill as we were packing up stuff like they were going towards the pond. :-p
Jonni - did I hear Midway?? You better let me know!! haha. I saw those letters too and just thought the artwork was amazing. I couldn't believe how many were in the collection. What is so weird is that we all remember seeing them.
Oh - someone asked about the bunnies. Miss Sheryl had them cute little fellers. They were the hit of the party. The rain sure didn't put a damper on our party. I can't wait until next month. :)

You guys, I am so jealous!! I would have loved to have gone, but we have so many projects going here (all my idea), that involve buying timbers for raised beds, hemlock boards, & fencing. Let me tell you, it adds up!! I better get a lot of tomatoes to pay for this endeavor. Not to mention I really couldn't leave hubby since he was working on all MY projects. Maybe next time. Anyway, Jonni, my bio dad (who died when I was 8) did the same kinds of drawings that were on those envelopes. He had served in the navy, & his were full of the sailors & very CURVY women. I am so upset though, back when I was just out of college, & my cousin had gone to art school, my mom gave all of them to her(she must have thought cuz would appreciate them more, NOT!!) The last I heard cuz had lost them. WAAHHH!!! They were of the same quality & detail that Jus's finds were(although not on envelopes..how neat!) Dad was a very rare talent, & loved to paint & listen to jazz. I grew up on the Oscar Robertson trio with the occasional Peggy Lee thrown in. |

So out of curiosity girls, what airport would I fly into? I'll do some checking on the cost of flights etc..

You would fly into CVG which is about 10 minutes from my house, or you could fly into Lousiville or Dayton, Ohio which is ALWAYS cheaper (both about an hour and 1/2). I'd be glad to drive to get you in Dayton, and maybe one of the centrally located girls would do Louisville :)

Lisa-- I surely wish you had those drawings....you know I'd love to see them and Jus would be head over heels! Mom's are weird that way...my gran threw my mom's baseball card collection (including Mickey Mantle's Rookie card) away when she got married. Why would she need a $20,000 dollar rookie card?
How about next month, Lisa? It's on the 18th, always Sunday. Surely we could urge you away then?

As the ole song goes "ya'll come..." It is a wonder that Burlington is still standing with all the fun we had. The more the merrier. It would be a grand ole time. :)

CVG = Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International airport :), which is incidentally, in Erlanger, not Covington, or Cincinnati :)

Miss Wilma - Do you know who I'd have to get in touch with to reserve a space at Burlington for next month?

Great photos. Jonni, there is nothing wrong with you being in the photo. You're just lovely! Don't be so hard on yourself. Miss Wilma, I love your hair. I'm waiting for mine to look that nice. Salt and red pepper doesn't really look very good.

Lisa, it really needs a color that I havent had time to put on, can you believe I had really dark hair growing up then when I was about 35 it got really gray,so about 10 or so years ago I started coloring it but I wish I hadnt because I really did have the prettiest gray hair, It was never yellow like some does but was a silver white, I made a big mistake and its one thats hard to fix, but thank you Lisa, Lisa Jonnie is a doll, she is really cute when she gets stubborn
