I have access to a closed down dairy for about a month and a half more. The dairy owners are fighting a mystery diagnosis and are sitting under a heavy financial burden of unsold milk bottles. So if you would like some milk bottles or real wire milk crates- please let me know. In the past I have had shipping issues with USPS so I have worked out the kinks with Fed-Ex. Also- Any bottles I ship- if any are broken I will immediately ship replacements since Fed-Ex will pay me back. It might take me a few days to contact the dairy owners and a few days to get them packaged due to having a toddler- but I try to get them shipped as soon as possible.
PS- They are sold out of the half-pint size (the littlest ones)
The price is as follows: Pints - $4 Quarts- $5 Unprinted Half Gallons- $5 Printed Half Gallons- $7 Wire Milk Crates- $10 (I use mine as a step stool many times! So they hold up) Plus Shipping

I'm so glad! They are so great. I use mine in the summer especially for water in the fridge or lemon aid. And if I remember to- I pour our milk into them to keep it from that "milk carton" taste.

I love mine too..and they got good use all summer fall and winter this past year. They are "resting" now while Mona is dry..but get use as pretty vases and things like that in the meantime.

Oooh, Alee! I love my half gallon ones, I've used them for all sorts of stuff--flower vases, storing candies, etc. I think I need two pints and two quarts...lol...

I am so glad you like them Jodi! I love how they are so weighty- even when empty! A half gallon weighs two pounds empty! I have dropped them and only had one break on me and that was because I accidentally smacked it with another one- and even then only the top mouth broke off and it wasn't a sharp break. If I had a glass grinder I could have ground down the break and it would have been usable!
Jodi- email me and we can work out a mailing to you :D

Emailed ya!
And I know exactly what you mean about how durable they are. I've lost so many glass things to my cat's crazy moments that I dread putting things out, but the half-gallon bottles have been knocked over and such and don't break! It's wonderful!!

Ronna- Yes the half gallons are the only ones with printing on them. This dairy never printed on their own bottles, but bought from other dairies that had. So there aren't a bunch of them.

Thanks Heather! And Thanks Everyone! The dairy owners didn't want to close down but some other family members did some not-so-nice things and closed it down anyway. So the bottles have been sitting abandoned since 2001. Production halted so quickly- I have even seen some where a dirty bottle came in and the remnant of the milk has dried in the jar!

Alee, do you by any chance have any of the cork stopper thingies for the bottles? I think they were mentioned last summer when I bought my half-gallons, but I can't remember..

Jodi- They are called Pogs, and are cardboard. Unfortunately I don't have any left- I only had a scant few to begin with- only what the dairy had left on hand. So sorry! But stopping them with cork is a GREAT idea! I bet you could get some cut to the right size- or might even be able to find some stoppers of the right size in a craft store.

Cecily- Yes, there are many crates left. I have about 10 in my house right now. I use them for all sorts of things. When Nora was a bit smaller I used them as a baby gate, I also put my garbage can up on one so she and the dog can't get into it. I have used them as step stools, a table for Nora (with a book and a blanket thrown on top. I have made outside tables with them for when I like to sit outside and sip lemonade. They are really strong :D

They are pretty popular. It is a guess as to how many printed ones are left because they were bought from other dairies that were closing down or changing packaging.
