Hi Everyone! I'm working with a pattern for a pair of wide-legged pants (Indygo Junction 776- Artisan Pants). I cut the tissue paper pattern already to my size, which of course doesn't fit after making the first pair up. I did make a paper copy of the pattern after it was cut (I hate tissue patterns!)... I am adding size to the pattern- in the hips and belly and butt area. If I add just to the outside of the legs, will that cover the increase I need for the front and back as well (or will it just make saggy thighs?)? I've done one pair with increases at all seams, and it worked out well. I just would like to check if there's an easier way to do this than trying to increase the crotch sizing.
Thanks for your help- Kim in NC |
