I'm new and have been reading and just started joining in today. I absolutely love what I've found so far and can't wait to dig some more! I'm a city girl now, but was born and raised in the country so thats where my heart is. I love to do anything crafty as well as sew, cook, find nifty uses for what most people call junk or trash, and I love gardening and garage sales! I'm also known as a total tightwad, (I like to think of myself as frugal) but to each his own. I have three kids, two dogs, two birds, 5 hamsters, and one big teddy bear of a husband. I can't wait to get to know some of you better!

Howdy from a little further south-I'm in Bryan/College Station Robin. It's so nice of you to join us-I think you'll fit right in. I"m a tightwad too and certainly not above a bit of dumpster diving once the students leave town :) I find the best stuff that way! I hope you'll be happy here! ~kate

Thanks for the warm welcome! Flower Mound is in the Dallas Fort Worth area, but I spent a ton of time on my grandma's farm in south texas when I was a kid. AngiKay, I have two of the three volumes of Tightwad Gazette! Love it! I have a bassett hound and cocker spaniel and yes ma'am I do have a garden planted! Small but it's mine! I'm lovin' it here already!

Wow, I've never had such a great welcome before! I am truly glad to be here. Can someone tell me how to find out more about the farmgirl chapters? I don't see that there is one in my area but I think there should be!
Thanks, Robin

Robin,
I know that we're all trying to get one going here in the Tyler-Gilmer-Pittsburg area, but not sure how close that would be for you. To find all the info go to the Farmgirl Chapter Chatter heading in the main forum. All the info is in there.
