Ya'll are so sweet for welcoming me back. It is good to "see" all of you too. The girls are growing. My older daughter is starting middle school this year and the younger one is one of the older kids in elementary. It is really something to see them growing and changing and becoming lovely young women. I'm so proud of my girls. They are really good people. Thank you all for asking.
I can't tell you how much I have missed the sisterhood of MJ's. It just feels right to be back here. Thank you again. I hope to be sharing my newest creations with everyone on my blog soon. I have been sewing, but not aprons since my Mom died. She loved my aprons, but my heart went out of it with her passing. But my heart is back and healed and I came across three vintage apron patterns this week for fifty cents each. When I opened one of them last night, guess what? There was a fourth vintage pattern tucked inside one of the envelopes....in it's original envelope! Surprise!!! I think this is a sign for me to get back to my apron sewing!!! I have a vision in my head of simple hardworking aprons with a little surprise on each one. Now off to take a photo of the vintage patterns and posting it on my blog. Oh, my etsy store is still closed for now.

Georgann- It is so good to see you back and hearing that you are doing better. I have missed you so much!! Sometimes we just need to take a little time for ourselves to sort things through and heal. It's a good thing to do.

Hey! The Gene Marshall doll posting caught my attention - a few years ago I met a young woman who is part of this doll's following. She told me there is a Gene doll convention every year, with many attendees making outfits for Gene. She showed me an apron ensemble she had sewn, and it was complete with to-scale kitchen accessories, including embroidered dish towels. Exquisite miniature work for a beloved fashion doll.
