I am waiting for Angie (Britchickny) to contact me too. Do not worry about sending the bag to Kuwait, we have an addres in Ny and the transporter brings it to us in Kuwait. Marian, yours will be in the mail the first week of september. Corinne

I got mine made..now to send it off. :-) It's double thick quilting cotton. Light blue with black handles and squared bottom. I also put a black/blue paisly print tie to hold the middle together. There is a big button by each handle and they are all different colors. I think it's wider but shorter than a regular plastic bag. It should hold lots of groceries!

I am so glad to have been part of this swap. It was fun, but also so important to be aware recycling. My mother-in-law has been using cotton bags for years now. People thought she was crazy, now she is popular. I was listening to the news last night and in some areas are charging extra for each plastic bag. Some areas are even banning them. So, way to go ladies!! Take care. Karla |

I'll be closing sign up for this swap in a few hours! Any last minute takers? You've still got plenty of time to make a bag......

Ok, Ladies, I've closed the sign up for this swap. It looks like I'll be sending a bag to barnagainkristin (oh, how that name makes me smile, quite clever!)
There's still plenty of time to make and send your bag if you haven't done so already, so don't panic! I will be marking off names of those who have stated they've received their bag. So, if you have received your bag and haven't posted it on here yet, can you please do so? Also, you can send me an email if you want. Just want to make sure everyone is accounted for.
I applaud you ladies for being a part of this swap. Americans alone use over 380 Billion plastic grocery bags a year, and even paper bags don't decompose in our landfills. Every ONE reusable grocery bag, consistently used, will eliminate over 800 plastic bags. That means in this swap alone, with 26 participants, if we choose our reusable bags over plastic consistently, will rid the world of approx. 20, 800 plastic bags!!!! I know you can buy bags from almost every store these days, but lets face it, they are down right ugly. Pretty much any bag that a Farmgirl in this swap makes is more likely to be used than an ugly, boxy bag with a store logo emblazened across the front of it.
So, high five, Farmgirls! Ya done good!

I am so excited that my sewing supplies are allll unpacked.. just need to finish cleaning the family room/craft room so I can set up my machine. I have a whole bookshelf and a half full of fabric for tote bags (besides my own use and swaps I plan on making some for resale and Christmas gifts.) This does not include a huge basket full of upholstery samples. I am hoping to have this room done by the end of this weekend. now to work on the perfect design.
Blessings, Debra
