I wonder if that's how you spell whoopee? Well you get the idea. Got some really cute things today all excited with myself. I posted pictures, I guess the tray would be my favorite, but I was happy with it all. NANCY JO

Has it really been a whole week? What a treasure that tray is! Is it handpainted? Awesome finds as usual! I've been up to my elbows in peaches and am in the process of making jam or soemthing close to it I hope...I'm a first time jam-maker so it could get REAL ugly! Your finds are adorable...it must be heaven to live so close to that store! I bet your real estate is valued higher just because of it!?! I was looking at a house on the internet and it had pictures and talked about this great view and NEVER took a picture of the view. Things like that are important...like how close is the nearest thrift store, book store (used and new)....maybe we should go back to the old days where people grouped together in neighborhoods based on ethnicity but now we could do it based on interests...like all the "junkers" and all the crafters....you get the drift...how exciting would that be! My neighbors are pretty boring...not nearly as exciting and interesting as MOI! Ha! Ha! I think they think I am strange and the guys always like to stop by and tell me what I'm doing wrong or the big one is always WHY did you do that? A single woman in a neighborhood of "retirees" is just inviting trouble! LOL! It's obvious it's time to put another nicotine patch on and go back to my canning and my own business...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the treasures! Please say a prayer that after all this work and sweat (REAL sweat) my peach jam turns out. Love y'all!

Sam, Wish I was there to eat some of those peaches, and the jam I will wait on until its gets the OK from an unsuspecting taster.HA. You know I have never made jam, maybe thats something I should try. or not. Yes that neighbor thing sounds like a great idea. When I tell my neighbors I went to the thrift, they just think that is the oddest thing to do. They have nice new things at the plaza you know. I just nod and say, yes they do.Sounds to me like your neighbors find you very interesting. Thats a good thing. NANCY JO

Thanks heavens you got to the thrift today, I was starting to have withdrawal pains. That tray is absooutely lovely, as are your other purchases. It is always good to have a nice tall cake keeper, and your cranberry glass needed that little family member. I am recovering from my most spectacular fall of the summer last Friday, all I've been doing is admiring the black and blues I have, and swearing a little bit. I am grateful to have the Olympics to check in on once in a while to divert me. I have to stop going to the thrift. it is just so much fun, but I know i can count on you, Nancy Jo, to come through with some visual treats. I just found my camera cord so when I can function again, I'll post some pictures of some of the loot I got a couple weeks ago...

Nancy Jo, cute things! I think your cranberry glass may be Avon. If I remember correctly, I had one like that and it had strawberry bubble bath in it. It looks like it has little indents in it that were meant to look like the strawberry seeds? Anyhow, good job, girl! And welcome back to the land of the Thrift!

Nancy...it is always such fun to read your excitement!! The cake holder/carrier really looks like something that will come in handy! Nice!
