Ewww, I heard on an interview that Michael Phelps is on an 8,000-10,000 calorie per day diet. (Wish I had that "problem".) Just how many scorpions would he have to eat to reach that kind of calorie intake? lol

I too saw this food report. That gal is doing a human interest story on China each day and she's a hoot! I'd be packing a big pic-a-nic basket to travel to China--or maybe it would be a good time to lose a few pounds. One of the dishes were duck "lips"/heads. I about cracked up at that one.

My mom told me about this story......she was thoroughly disgusted. But to each their own uh?

I think her name is Mary Caruthers? Wasn't she an Olympic champ at one time? Anyway...I ADORE the Olympics and would have loved to have been a contender earlier in my life. I love the equestrian but they never show it so I end up ordering a cd of it after it's all over. I wish the T.V. stations would show EVERYTHING among them all and then you could really pick and choose what you want to watch but of course they're going to show Volleyball in the bikinis and any sport where there is female skin showing.....if the equestrians would start riding in bikinis I bet they would show some equestrian events! LOL! I know some sports are more popular than others but wouldn't you think there are enough horse lovers that they would show it? Come on.....ping pong over equestrian? Maybe it's just me? Again.....

I could go for some peking duck right about now. anytime you are wrapping duck and veggies and sauce in a super thin "pancake" whoah that turns my crank! I'd really like to see some of the Judo, I know that's weird right but it's a sport and I'd like to see it. Anybody know if there's a webplace to catch MORE of the olympics than what's on the tube? Sandra, I am really with you on this one! I love the stadium jumping and 3-day-eventing and never get to see it. We don't have cable or satellite so are at the mercy of the antenna fed basic channels and their coverage is really lacking in my book. I too have found it interesting how they cover so much beach volleyball (men and women) and cover the whole game or match or whatever you call it. They act like that's the only sport there is! I hadn't thought about the bikinis...too funny!
