I need some help on this one. I've just listed a new yarn, but am unsure as to whether one of the pictures is appropriate. Can someone take a look and give me their opinions? It's the latest post on my blog. Thanks a bunch!

The colors are beautiful! I was thinking "Gee! That skein is going to be all sticky from the watermelon" and then I read the caption where you said it wasn't touching. I am not sure, but perhaps you need some white space between the yarn and melon slice?

I agree with Alee. The yarn is absolutely beautiful. Love the colors. But I would also be thinking that it might be sticky. I think some white between the yarn and watermelon would be perfect.

I think you are both right. Now that I look closer, it really does look as though it is touching and that is not good! Thank you so much!

I love the yarn, I so wish I was not allergic to wool. I agree with the others as cool as the watermelon looks in the picture it does not look seperate even though you said that- A picture is worth a thousand words and sometimes people look at that and don't even read what you have said. Been there - done that. So I would seperate it some how. That yarn will fly out your store!

Thanks so much for the encouragement AngiKay. Yep, I am definitely changing that pic! I'm so glad I asked the question!! There's nothing worse than a customer coming to your store, just to say "Ewwww"!

I love the colors! Didn't get a sticky feeling when I looked at it. =)

I think the picture is nice too. Love the colors of your yarn... looks so soft too! I have another suggestion... why not take a whole watermelon & slice off the end. You could then drape your yarn on the side that is not cut or in a bowl next to the cut melon (whole or slice).

I doesn't bother me, as I figure you would never allow the yarn to get ruined or the tasty watermelon to get full of fibers. Perhaps you could position some watermelon chucks in a bowl, set that bowl on a larger dish that holds the yarn. Set a utensil in there for fun too.

It didn't bother me either. What true yarn addict or watermelon lover let the two actually touch? If you've gone to that much trouble to make the yarn I don't think you'd be careless and ruin it just for a picture. It is yummy looking yarn though. Good job!

It's beautiful!! I don't think it looks sticky at all. But, maybe a little buffer between the two is a good idea. :)

That is some of the prettiest yarn I have seen in a while.

Thanks Sue! I'll keep that in mind for the "fall" yarn...I'm just starting to work on my fall yarns this week :)
