I have so many decorating ideas and places we can go with it and how much easier it will be to take our dogs on vacations with us. I'm so excited over this. I didn't think we'd ever get one, but this one just fell into our laps. You can check it out on my blog. Boy, I've been blogging a lot lately!

I'll update my blog as I change things. I'm thinking the curtains will be either a green or blue plaid with a bit of lace. I'd like to hang pictures, but I'm not sure if I can put nails in the walls or not. I don't know if there would really be anything to nail into to be secure? I'm mulling that one over. The contact paper behind the sink and stove will have to go. Neither of us like it. We'll have to go shopping for something we like.

how cute! safe traveling with it.... i like your idea of green or blue plaid, (cheerful and yet kind of out-doorsy!) with regard to hanging pictures, try those peel-and-stick hooks maybe instead of nails. they even have some that are removable by tugging on the bottom portion of the sticky stuff......you'll have to see for yourself, but try bed/bath/beyond. best wishes! |

My mom uses heavy duty velcro for hanging photos in hers! I would use a lot of it. But, make sure to get the heavy duty kind. (I don't know if it's actually called heavy duty, but it's the kind that is really strong stuff! lol).

Thanks for the picture hanging ideas. I'm thinking the velcro would probably be better than nails or hooks as it would keep the pictures from swinging and possibly falling while moving it. But I like the sticky hook ideas for hanging utensils and other lightweight things.
Heather, I would love to hear your decorating ideas. Two heads are better than one!
I decided not to go with the plaid curtains as the fabric made it too dark inside. So, I pulled off all the orange fringe (yuck!) that was on the existing curtains, put a rod sleeve in the same fabric and re-hung them. I put a forest green comforter on the bed and have talked dh into changing the blue floral contact paper behind the stove and sink to something with beige and green. The blue really clashes with the pale yellow curtains. The curtains look MUCH better without that orange fringe. I'm working on putting new contact paper on the wall opposite the sink which has a dark woodgrain look. I think a lighter color would really brighten it up in there. I'm just not into cave dwelling!

I seen another farm girl used embroidered flour sack towels as curtains, I bet that would be cute in a trailer as well.
My mom uses velcro for every thing, I seen it on RV today, and when I told her, she started using it for every thing. On RV today they used it for spices in the cabinets! Which I think is a great idea too.
I would watch RV Today, I haven't been keeping up with it for a while, cause my favorite person they used to have on there, died. And it's not the same for me any more. But, I need to get back to watching it again. But, I think it still comes on RFD-TV, and probably Outdoor Living Network.

What a great resource, Heather. I didn't even think about the fact that there would be all kinds of ideas for trailers on the web! Now, I have some new useful and utilitarian ideas to have done and ready for when we go somewhere

Yup we love RV today.
There's also a RV website/message board. My husband is part of it. If I remember, I will ask him for the url tonight and post it for you. They know all kinds of things on that message board. He's been part of it for years now. And loves it.
