Hi...I love this website and everything Mary Jane does. Thought it was time for me to post! I'm a "city"-fied farm girl - I've spent my whole life living on the Canadian prairies, currently living in Alberta. One hour east of the Rockies, and one hour north of Montana. A couple times each year I spend some time on my hubbie's parents farm (they're cattle producers) and the rest of my time in Lethbridge (pop. 75,000) gardening, camping, cooking, reading and sprucing up my home. Any other Canadian farmgirls out there? I'd love to hear from you!

Welcome Alison from me in Utah!! I am glad you found us!! Be sure to post lots so we get to know you. Canada is a place I want to visit some day. I am a homebody and there arn't many places I really care to travel to, but Canada, Alaska, the deep south and Vermont and the ones I really want to see some day. They all sound beautiful.
Jenny in Utah It's astonishing how short a time it takes for very wonderful things to happen...Frances Burnette |

Hi Allison ~ I spent many happy days in Canada, Toronto, which is far from you, but I love Canada. Maybe someday I'll get up to where you are. Enjoy the forum. Many wonderful women here and it's always interesting.

good chilly morning alison and welcome .. you're gonna' love it here! are you having freeeeeeeeezing weather up there? it's cold down here in kentucky .. so you must be living in a winter wonderland right now!
i, too, am a city girl moved to the country! my family are all 'country folk' .. so the transition was so natural. what types of books do you find you snuggle down with to read? xo, frannie

So good to here from some Manitoba girls! My hubbie's parents have their farm about 2 hrs north of Wpg. I love getting out of the city and into the country. The great thing about moving to Lethbridge is that it's got the best of both worlds!
