Hi my name is Christina and I am new. I look forward to getting to know everyone. I am slowly building my farm,(had some set backs over the last year), but in due time it will be perfect for us. I currently have 5 dogs,2 cats, 1 guinea pig and hopefully my chickens will be in soon. I am super excited to be a part of Farmgirl Connection!!!! Have a great day!

Welcome, Christina! I am a "part time" VA farmgirl, in Norfolk....about half of the year my husband and I live in southern France. There are some other VA farmgals roaming around here now and then, too. You will love it here, with lots of friendly faces, advice and tips and know-how galore. Enjoy! Hugs, Nance

Hi Christina, I live in North Carolina, so I am not too far away. I have been trying to see who might have the closest chapter to me. Who knows maybe we would be in the same one. I am an animal lover also. I have 3 calves, 3 goat does, 1 buck and a wether, a cat, and 3 dogs. I did have chickens and I do plan on having more this Spring. It will be great getting to know you.

BE HAPPY!!!

I's so nice to meet you! I started a chapter its called Handbags and Honeybutter, however I am the only member and I don't know how to access it...lol. I'd love for you to join if you don't find one closer and I'm sure the girls here would help us figure out what we are doing...lol! I'm glad you found us!

Hey Christina! I had two guinea pigs in my Kindergarten classroom. They were quite an asset. The children responded to them so well--they were great motivators. If I had a headache, I would just say, "The guinea pigs are a little under the weather. Let's all be more quiet." And they were instantly quiet! I am going to look up Dewitt and see where that is. I'm probably too far away in Norfolk to join your chapter. There is one in Williamsburg. Since I have only been to Historical Williamsburg, I imagine the ladies of that chapter sitting in their long dresses and bonnets doing needlepoint. I think I have also been watching too many Masterpiece Theaters. :)

Have fun building your farm up and getting inspired here!

LOL...That's great! Sorry I haven't been on, I just brought home my chicks and I can't get enough of them. Well, no matter what chapter you join, I'm glad you made it to the forum. Maybe all us VA girls could get together this spring or summer.?? Have fun and I'll see ya around.

Christina

Amber, You really made me smile! I am the chapter leader for the Colonial Farm Girls. In fact I do work for Colonial Williamsburg, but let me tell you I don't even have any 18th Century clothing because I work in an office.
I would love to have you join this chapter! In fact you would be the first besides me as this is newly formed. What do you say?

Huzzah!
