I've just begun on my latest new adventure....retirement. For over 42 years my days have been dictated by an outside job. My career path has wound around being a postmaster, human resource director, teaching, drafting, greenhouse manager, admin. assist., secretary, apartment cleaner, complaint handler, vehicle body repair and on and on. Now I am adding yet another "fork in the road" chosen. Even though I am excited by the prospect of making more choices based on my personal goals and interests, it is also somewhat intimidating. The downward spiraling economy is definitely making me think outside the box.
I so enjoy and appreciate the totally uplifting articles in MJF. I have gained both courage to pursue and hope for a much better future by reading about my "sister's" successes and accomplishments. I have only just begun this journey but I am so glad there is MJF to nudge me toward new discoveries about myself and the world of the FARMGIRL.
The statement "Life is short so eat desert first" has a whole new meaning now. MJF is most assuredly in the desert category. I look forward to sharing great conversations with y'all!!!!
May your days be filled with adventures, Barbara
