Alee.... seriously. If you soap-makin gals could figure out a way to incorporate that diesel smell into a soap... my dh would be in heaven! He always says they gotta come out with a candle that smells like tractor fumes....lovely.....

Cantaloupe sounds so good and Pomegranate too!:)
How about:
~Lavender ~Honeysuckle ~Pink Grapefruit ~Mint ( My honey bought me some handmade soap one year and it was peppermint w/poppy seeds, very nice :)) ~Cedar for men (can you use cedar oil for soaps?)
Have you gals ever checked out: http://www.pinemeadows.net/
I love their fragrance and essential oils. They have a Red Currant that smells wonderful, their Fresh Ginger, and their Lime are great too :)

LOL! Yes Doug once had a soap he loved that was a combination of Leather, musk and maybe sandalwood? I need to play around until I can replicate that scent.
I am really excited. I have been on a soap making spree! I have now made Pomegranate, Lemon, Lemon Shaving Soap, and one of the most lovely lavender soaps I have made in a while! Even as I was mixing it I could the ripples getting this great silkiness.
I need to get a bit more coconut oil. I love the fact that I have an excuse to indulge in my favorite hobby!

Grass Hay sounds sounds good. I like the sound of a soil/earthy scent. Can't wait to meet you all at the farm fair! |
