Hi, I'm Joyce

I'm so excited to have found this forum. I've purchased the last two issues of Maryjane's Farm and just love it! My family calls me "1930's Girl" since I like antiques and 1930's reproduction fabrics. My sister says that if something was invented after 1930...I don't have it. Well...this isn't entirely accurate. It's true that I don't own a dishwasher or a cell phone, but I do have a television and computer.

My hobbies include quilting, decorating and scrapbooking. Dh and I are planning to build a new, "old" house. I love the English Cottage/Storybook style homes. At this point, we are looking for land and getting plans together. Dh says I would like to live in a Thomas Kinkade painting. I guess he's pretty much right.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all,
Joyce

Hi Joyce and welcome! Love cottages and live in a Victorian one here. Lots of remodeling to be done and we're doing it bits at a time. I love my little cottage and garden. You're going to love it here. Lots of incredibly talented women.

Hi Joyce, welcome!!! I have often said that I was born too late. LOL. we just bought a 1920 cottage here in the Tenn. hills, used to be a workers cottage for an old textile mill, on Sock Hill. LOL> I can picture an English country garden here too.

Welcome, Joyce, from one of the Louisiana farm girls. I would LOVE to live in an old house like that! Actually, mine is two sharecropper houses from the 20's, put together. Not as picturesque as I'd like it, but I can promise it's old! Especially when things go wrong, like, once a week?????
