I had joined awhile back and been very busy lately. My daughter and her hubby are being deployed overseas. They are in the Air Force so we had to spend much time as possible together cuz I wont see them both until next year when they came back. My daughter leaves in Sept and son in law leaves end of Dec or first part of Jan..I will end up having to keep the grandson for few weeks..I also had a surprise visit from my dad who lost contact when my mom and him divorced when I was 9 years old. I am now 53 and was so happy to see him. He is 88 years old and still drives his own truck..lol..We have been spending so much time catching up on news atleast once week. And I got me a fishing partner!!..lol..And he is gonna help me build a garden again next year since Hurricane Ike knocked me out this year..

Hi Nadine,
I'm in TX also. North of you up in Athens. Glad your getting your garden back. Also 53 and was in the AF myself long ago. We have a bit in common. Glad you made it back.

Thanks alot! I just got in from mowing my 5 acre yard..trimming plants back, and cleaning out my chicken, ducks, and my turkey hoophouse later today..gotta add another roost in there too.I was given 18 baby chicks few weeks ago, this lady didnt know if she could handle chickens or not. But she did and only took 7 pullets out of this bunch and gave me the rest like I needed them..LOL..
And also I during my time w my family, I had a new roof put on my house(damaged by Hurricane Ike) and hired my handy man to repair and paint the wood part of the house. So I am good to go with that. My son who is in the US Army currently in Iraq is fixing to have my kitchen remodeled and floors redone from linoelum? and carpet to all tile!..yea!
