Hi there ladies!
I'm Krystal and I live in Washington state. My husband and I live in the suburbs on a nice large lot--I have two gardens--one for veggies and one for flowers! I keep trying to talk the hubby into getting some chickens but he just keeps giving me that look--he knows he married a country girl but I somehow keep managing to surprise him! Our children are teenagers. Our son is 19 and our daughter is 16. I'm trying to learn all the things the farmgirls in my life tried to teach me when I was younger--so, far I've learned to crochet and to knit. My next project is a memory quilt we're making from some of my daddy's old flannel shirts and some special pieces from other people in my life.

Welcome, Kris, from one of the Louisiana farm girls! I am so glad you could join us. And tell your dh that I think he should let you have those chickens! I love mine, and all the fresh eggs!

Thank you for the lovely welcome ladies! I reread my intro today and realized I had cut part of it off--thanks to my darling daycare babies--bless their pointy little heads! (typing one handed) I'm so excited to "meet" all of you! Julie, where is Social Springs? I lived in Ruston years ago and went to college there--and one of my best friends still lives in Bossier! And I'm still working on the hubby--I'm so spoiled--he usually gives me whatever I want! So, we'll see! Again, thank you for the warm greetings--just like farmgirls to be so friendly!

Welcome Krystal from Palouse, WA! Your gardens sound wonderful and I loved your idea for a quilt with well loved shirts! What an awesome idea! We just got chicks this spring and now we have fresh eggs everyday. It was easier than we thought and very rewarding! I love our hens!

Welcome Krystal!!!
Your memory quilt sounds perfect! I am hoping to learn how to sew soon. It seems that life gets in the way so I just need to push it aside for a bit :) I'm glad you found us and look forward to getting to know you better :)
