| hi back at all of you. how fun is this. this is my first time on a site like this. we have 2 and 1/2 little acres. i use every inch. the farmers and old timers are surprised when they come. we are an organic farm. no chemicals. i have some genetic flaws in my liver so we live a pretty pure lifestyle. we raise butcher hogs, fryers, laying hens, turkeys, ducks, one cantackerous is that spelled right?cow i am learning to milk. we also have 2 milk goats. it is so much fun every day.i have a question. i looked at a jersey yesterday to but. she was dried up 5 months ago and had to be treated for mastitus. she had already lost one teet, so this is the second. after 5 months when i was checking her out she had thick yellow stuff coming out of her teet??? didnot look good. so a 3 teet cow is becoming a 2 teet cow. is this not a problem that edder and teet. can it be saves? anyone have thoughts. thanks so much for any in put. probably i should go to the cow site on the forum and ask this. still learning sherrye silk purse farm |
