I know that these are sort of a pain to cook with and also sort of out of style but I have several recipes that call for them - thought I might try them next year. Does anyone have experience growing them and some words of wisdom to pass along? Thank you!! Amy Grace

I havent seen any seeds or sets for these onions but I just made creamed onions and peas and it was sooooooo good. I have just used sliced yellow onions for any thing that calls for pearl onions and it is so much easier. I remember crying my eyes out as a kid when cleaning them to cook. Diana
Do you think those Egyptian Walking onions would work? I know I've used the little top-set bulbs in creamed peas and onions...mmm. I have some to share if you want. I don't know how they compare in taste to actual pearl onions. I like them.
oh Michelle, please don't be angry w/me,,,but the Egyptian oinons starts that you gave me...didn't start...they just stopped... bummer! Maybe next Spring I can try again if you will trust me with a couple? How's life in Rosalia?
