Hi
My name is Trish and I very new to forums, chat rooms etc. My husband James and I are looking forward to moving to the mountains (Montana?) in the near future, (That is why the subject line states 'for now')

I will start my own henhouse on the website as soon as I join the farmgirl sisterhood this week. The name of the henhouse will be 1roosterhenhouse.(What's a henhouse without a rooster; you would never know when to wake up!!

I'm a Labor and Delivery RN (going on 35 yrs) with a specialty in high risk obstetrics. My personal goal is to finish my midwifery credentials and assist farmgirls in Montana with their home deliveries. I also plan to write a program on Christian Childbirth; anyone interested?

My'rooster', James, is a unique, one of kind, cockadoodle dandy!! He is a writer/artist/designer/ with wonderful ideas for the future of our family.

The 1roosterhenhouse will provide a place for other farmgirls to brag about their rooster (keep it family friendly of course). My interest is in relationships between farmgirls and the man in their life. What do you look for in farmgirl friends? What do you look for in a rooster?

Hope everyone has a great day.
Prayers and Blessings

Trish

Hi Trish,
Welcome from MN.
Midwifery after your experience with high risk obstetrics should be a great blend. You will know what to do if there are problems and will enjoy the natural healthy births you will assist. I'm not sure but wonder if those looking forward to a birth with a midwife may be more in tune with the process, healthy and ready.
So are you newly weds or just keeping the fires glowing and growing? DH and I are working on year 38 and it only gets better.
Keep the joy and enthusiasm your message reflects!

Hi Cindy Lou
Thanks for the encouragement. I truly believe that those opting for midwife assisted births are more in tune. My program on Christian Childbirth, hopefully will provide more information and help for those interested.

James and I are going on our 17th year of wedded bliss, and it seems to get better every year.

Prayers and Blessings

Hi Trish. Welcome from Ga. Me and my hubby just had our 31st anniversary in Oct. It does get better the more we're together. I hope you enjoy it here. Good luck with the Henhouse. Sounds fun.

Mornin', Trish! A warm Louisiana welcome to you. Me and my rooster have been together for 17 years, too. He's my best friend and my biggest support system (next to my mama, of course!) So glad to have you!

Welcome Trish, from one Texas Farmgirl to another!
Your midwifery plan sound wonderful. I have a friend in Missouri who has done midwifery for several years and she said it has been a joy.
My sweet rooster, Hank and I have been married for 9 years.I am blessed to be his wife!

Welome from NE Ohio....where we need a rooster just to keep us warm in winter. We're known for some nasty winters here. My rooster has only been "My Rooster" for 3 years, but we've been buds for 23. He's been the "One" I have leaned on for a long time....my "Knight-in-Shining-Armor!" You're gonna love this place. So many like-minded souls! Enjoy!
