If you didn't know, located under Heart of Texas Henhouse is the "Gulf Coast Farmgirl Henhouse" - This is for all the Gulf Coast area farmgirls out there. Originally, as some of you may know, I was trying to pull together ..with some of the other Texas girls.. all the farmgirls in the Texas area under various regional chapters..to pull together into one major main chapter called "Heart of Texas" to meet annually. It was very hard to do .. as we did not realize there were other chapters out there so there seemed to be a conflict of interest. I was still open to working with them. The chapters were going to be named after each region.. Gulf Coast Farmgirls, Piney Woods (there was a group there already), etc... There is also a "Piney Woods farmgirl" henhouse located online under "Heart of Texas" now too.
However, I have decided to 'focus' on the Gulf Coast Farmgirls alone.. and I hope we can bring you all together there ...and then eventually bring it offline ... and maybe just go from there..
If there are any groups actively working in the Houston or Gulf Coast area right now, please let me know. I'd love to be aware of it!

Well, I'd love if we can have a meet up _eventually_ somewhere centrally located for all of us... or we could perhaps have it on the south side one time, or west side another time... or north side another... and east... you know what I mean? We can switch it each time we meet to make it easier for everyone... just ideas. Any ideas you have would be great too! I was originally hoping to have the gulf coast girls meet up once a month, and then all the regions meet together once a year. Just to keep us all connected ... But I am not sure who is actively having groups out there... They (the farmgirls in Texas and their groups) may not all get online ... I'd like for us to have a project too, obviously... or something philanthropic... or maybe focus one year one one thing and the next something else....like horses for example.... and perhaps each month learn about something new...there's ALOT of things we could do! Because The Gulf Coast Area and HOUSTON (alone!) is so big, I wouldn't be surprised if we need more than one group (or the ones already out there!)..and then ALL the groups in Gulf Coast and Houston area could meet up sometimes as well. It's just that these areas are so large, we need some sense of bringing Texan Farmgirls together!

Beth! You contact Brian at Mary Jane's Farm and tell him you want to join Heart of Texas Henhouse! :D (and you'll have access to the Gulf Coast thread/forum too)

I will be trying to get my place ready for anybody to come visit here later on in the fall..My home is going to be remodeled and my land is currently been clean out of tree debris.So I will keep in touch with ya'll since I have 19.8 acres of woods to play on..LOL..and have room for small travel trailers as well...
