DH and I are one more step closer to gardening season.  A garden plan drawing is made and we sent our last seed orders today. There will still be quite a wait here in MN until the snow is gone and the ground is warmed but we can soon be starting seeds, hoping to be able to get our own tomato, pepper, cauliflower, brocolli and brussels sprouts plants ready to go. Tonight the temp is supposed to go down to -6 degrees, but there is a feeling of hope. Spring WILL come!

Hi Susan:
My hubby bought some seeds today; onion tops, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc... Here in SW Louisiana we plant early, usually in late March. My hubby starts the seeds in the hot house.

I have started my journal and am just happy looking at the photos and bright colors of plants. I am going to try a blueberry bush and a raspberry bush this year. We have clay in our soil and I have heard that both of these will do well in that type of soil. Dreaming is a wonderful thing....

Being in LA is driving me crazy. I'm used to Colorado weather and this warm, though not today makes me want to start planting. I get home mid march so can start planning my garden, but in the meantime I'll continue to watch the green grass and all the plants that should be dormant growing.

We are in the talking stages of planning our garden and going to draw up our garden plan soon. We've been looking in the seed catalogs and trying to decide what we are going to grow this year. Pumpkins, sugar snap peas, and tomatoes are a given but I'd like to try some new things this year.
