The last two years have brought record snowfall to our area, this year - not so much. In fact it feels like spring to the point that I have spent the morning outside weeding. I figured I might as well get a jump on things and boy howdy do my weeding muscles need the exercise:) I have no illusions that winter is over - we almost always get a snowstorm around Presidents Day weekend - but it sure is nice to get ahead on stuff. This ought to provide my inspiration for the seed orders too..... Amy Grace

Boy do I wish it was warm enough here to weed! January has been one frigid month for us with tons of snow. I'm praying for an early spring.

Funny, I was just thinkin I would take a picture of my garden space to put on my blog. I finally got a spot cleared for a garden and it is all fenced in nice and organized. Well, in one corner we've started a compost. And way in the other corner I had planted carrots, squash and lettuce. They had all started up just fine. Then, one day DH who is not a gardener, decided to help me by moving them because they were to close to the fence. Well, that was the end of those little plants, so we thought. Until low and behold after the 2 weeks of cold and freeze something is growing in my garden. Don't know what they are yet, but I'm going to protect those little guys until spring. lol Sorry, no snow! But, you can come warm up at my house!!!

Enough already! I envy you gals. We are knee deep in our 2nd snow of the year. The first was on Christmas eve and the snow stayed on for 3 weeks. (That never happens here) Had a warm spell, in the 50's for a few days then here came another storm. At least we arn't having the below 0 temps. It will be our turn some day maybe.

Belle - our turn was last year and the year before - last year we had so much snow in a 3 week period that the roof of one of the grocery stores in the company I work for collapsed, I couldn't drive my car for 3 weeks, had to get a ride with my husband. I'm not holding my breath that winter is over.....you just never know Amy Grace
