Hi girls! I'm a new "farmgirl" from Indiana. I am having fun on this site, but I can't quite figure out how to find mail that someone sent me. Any help would be appreciated!
I am married to my wonderful husband, Greg and we live with our 4 horses, 2 bunnies, and a barn cat! I am originally a "city" girl now living in the country, and I love it!! My husband has expanded my horizons and taught me soooo much! I am even taking horseback riding lessons and certainly never thought I would have a horse of my OWN let alone 4 of them!!!! Just wish SPRING would "spring"!!! |

Hello from NE Ohio. We got 14 inches of snow the other day, plus drifts. So ya, I"m with ya on the "Wish spring would spring!" I did see that my rhododendron was full of buds Tuesday. THAT'S a surprise! We may just get an Early Spring!!! Welcome!

Hi Judy, thanks so much for writing!! WOW...14 inches of snow!! We are just north of Indianapolis, in the country, and we got about 6 inches, with alot of drifting. They are saying another 4-6 inches Tuesday - ughhhh!!! I was encouraged about the weather when I read your rhododendron has buds!!
I have a very good friend that lives in Louisville. I think Louisville is really a nice city! Linda from Sheridan

Thanks Gerri and Sandy!! I can tell just from what I have read that all the farmgirls seem soo nice and full of fun information! Isn't MaryJanes Farm magazine THE BEST???!!!! I get several "country" magazines, but I was hooked on MaryJanes Farm from the 1st issue!
Hummm....Sandy.....maybe we should root for the "Colts"?? Hehehe!!! I think they are gonna win!! Where is Claypool? |

I agree Linda MJF magazine is the best publication that supplies the interest for all of us Farmgirls. I have subscribed to a number of different "country" magazines just to flip through pretty pictures and advertisements. MJF gives us useful information for everyday living. I can even reread older publications and still find something that I may have missed. That's what sparked my interest. I even purchased back issues.
As you hold onto that, the gals here are very informative and you can usually find out such valuable information through all the forums.

Perfectly said, Gerri!! Also, I think some of the stories/illustrations in MJF are worthy of tearing out and framing!! Sooooo cute!!! I just ordered the Sisterhood necklace and can't wait for it to come!! It is a cold, snowy day here in Indiana and I think I am getting the hang of this chating!!... Gosh....I haven't gotten a thing done today that I intended to!!!

Hi Kris, thanks for the welcome!! Gosh...I'm sorry to hear that Georgia sounds like Indiana right now (except that we have snow). I sell AFLAC insurance and our headquarters is in Columbus, GA!! Yes, I am VERY close to Noblesville - what a small world!! I actually live in Westfield but our address is Sheridan because of the post office.

Linda, I have a friend that lives in Vevay, IN. Are you anywhere near that city? Talked with her on Friday night and snow, snow, snow! Geee, I should be thankful that we are just experiencing cold weather!

Hi Linda as you can see you just get hooked. You just keep reading and before you know it you are not lost any more. Join some groups or swaps on the bargain site then you will have more enjoyment and learning as you go. The only other mag that I thought was worth the money is Mother Earth News which I still get. Hi again I am Lilly from Virginia.
